Rite Aid

I worked for the company as a floater for over 9 years. Initially I was to float between 4 or 5 stores, but it ended up that I floated for the entire district, 25 or 30 stores. I was on occasion loaned to other districts that would require overnight stays up to a week at a time. As a single mother, when my son was younger, this was difficult. The most difficult part of the job was the length of the day, the shortest day being approximately 10 hours with the drive time, and the longest days were often 16 hours and MORE. The district went to Johnstown, Dubois, Uniontown, and often one day I would go one direction, and a totally different direction the next day. Also I never had a set schedule. I received my schedule 2 weeks at a time at the most, often one or two days before the start of the schedule. But because I covered emergencies, my schedule changed at the last minute. There were times I would be headed in one direction, driving for example to Derry and get a call while driving to head to Ebensberg instead. I worked the majority of weekends in the years for the company. It was rarely possible for me to make social plans and be able to keep them, even during the week. The schedule was never such that I had the same days off each week. The most enjoyable part was that somehow, the company managed to hire warm, caring, friendly employees, and I cared for them all very much.

Effectively control the challenges of the job by prioritizing goals, requirements and opportunities. Delegate shared responsibilities and acknowledge team contributions. Made internal and external customers a primary focus and sustained productive customer relations. Identified business needs, problems, and opportunities. Made sound decisions that took into account objectives, risks, implications, and regulations. Supported and implemented organizational change in a positve manner.

I loved working for riteaid my first year with the company, but they rushed me into a position i wasnt ready for, with no additional training and empty promises. The District and regional managers will not hesitate to throw an employee under the bus. They do strive on customer service but seem to not realize that happy associates=happy customers. If you have a family this is not the place for you because Rite Aids moto "with us its personal" really means with us youll have no personal (life that is). All DMs should work with the same amount of integrity they expect from store associates.

It will not matter how successful you are at any store, if you are a highly paid manager, you will be targeted.....LP and HR will show up one day and question you about your application that you filled out 2 years ago.....When that happens, you know your days are numbered....When a bonus should be due to you when you spent 6 months out of a year working at a store you brought up from the grave, and not given to you, this is why when you search job websites , Rite Aid has a ton of openings....BEWARE

Before the merger announcement the company was a great place to work. Right before the announcement in October of 2015 new leadership was put in place in pharmacy operations and shortly after the announcement they started making changes. Over the last 18 months it became a very stressful and negative environment for management.

i had a great lead that was always looking out for us. but the district manager didnt like that so instead of let the lead do his job and help us he hindered the process and that held to less stats for 7 agents. But over all it was not that bad unless you have a partner that does nothing and takes the credit for your work and then tell the district manager that he does everything and he believes it. All and all not a bad company

it was hard work little benefits and little training. stressful and moving all the time. come in temporary and treated like a third class citizen. the people around you were not friendly and didn't like to train anyone new and pushed u to keep up with there unreasonable quota from the start. no one cuts you a break in there and they just push push push u out.

Rite aid is a great company to work for.My job consisted of working the cash register and helping customers,I worked well with co workers.The hardest part of my job was not having enough to do,the most enjoyable part was helping people with what they needed,and making customers feel comfortable.

interact with people all day,cashier,cleaning ,helping out in the pharmacy,stoking shelves,making end caps look nice,on the go all the time fast paced enviroment,made friends,great team members,helping people,dealing with people that were unhappy.

It was a long time ago but it was ok as a job. You'll probably be working holidays. No actual benefits unless you're management. My location was in a nice area so the customers were decent but depending on where you are your results may vary.
