I was disappointed by the lack of fair compensation and flexibility at this company. Despite working hard during my tenure, I could not negotiate a salary that matched the industry average. The negotiations have been ongoing since 7 months! I also had no option to work remotely, even though the housing crisis made it difficult to afford living near the office. The HR management had the final say on my pay, not my immediate manager who knew my performance and value. The company followed rigid and outdated processes that prioritized bureaucracy over customer satisfaction. The company culture was stuck in the past. I think the business group needs a major overhaul to survive in the modern market and attract talent that will be motivated to stay with the company. At this point, I have given up.

I have spent 18 years of my life at Rockwell Automation. First in Latin America and then in Canada. Rockwell gave me all the tools and opportunities to develop my career as a professional in areas like Engineering, Services, Sales and Management. It's a great company to work for, great culture and amazing people-driven company. My job and performance gave me the opportunity to move to Canada 7 years ago. As part of my development and experience at Rockwell, I have develop strenghts that helped me outperform and exceed goals year over year;

What is the best part of working at the company?
Working without supervision. Lots of training and supportive co-workers and leaders.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Can be fast-paced, sense of urgency, deadlines.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Terrific, friendly co-workers. Company is ethical and customer satisfaction is strived for.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Processing existing orders in the system. Reviewing detailed information. Summarizing and releasing orders for shipping/exporting.

Powerful  career when you're young. Managers can make or break your career here. Opportunity to grow if dedicated.  Continuous training and testing for same. Metrics tightly measured. Long hours but rewarding - meeting people, learning technology, business and travel. Pre-recession downsizing is the greatest risk to long term employment. Internal perception that it is always a young company (personnel) so older employees are most vulnerable when downsizing/reorg.

Work on projects around the world, see the inside of industrial facilities in many countries. 
Career networking is good because of Rockwell's market share and their need for technical work-force to be mobile. 
Rockwell Automation hardware and software is modern, reliable and capable of meeting any technical need.
It is easy to have a poor life-work balance because of high expectations and seemingly endless opportunity. But this does not help in career advancement.

Rockwell Automation 'preaches' being family oriented and 'care about employees' and being an 'ethical company'.  Many of the attitudes and decision making of the Department Mangers is quite opposite resulting in lack of moral of both hourly employees and the Supervisors that report to them.

Large global corporation with approximately 26,000 employees world wide. Great work culture and co-workers. Good opportunities for advancement and to work on different technologies. I was employed there for almost 18 years, but was part of a mass layoff in 2022. I was about two years short of retirement. It was disappointing.

I work remotely so a typical day begins signing in and prioritizing work. I have work "pushed" to me via email and  a database so I  can easily decide where to start.  My work is sorted by delivery date.  Daily I work independently with my Team Lead arranging one-on-one calls to check how things are.  

Good company to work on but managers need to bee more flexible with rules.
People is very good nice environment to work on. 
The benefits have been changing over the years for bad.

It was my first attempt at an assembly job and I enjoyed it very much. I created lasting bonds with coworkers, and only got laid off during the covid pandemic.
