Decent place to start in aviation if it's your first position out of school. As it is a heavy maintenance facility, you are exposed to a lot and if you take the initiative you can easily complete a log book in the minimum time required. Twin otters are a great aircraft to learn on, very maintenance-friendly. However, the vast majority of time is spent doing menial tasks from paint prep to corrosion removal, with very little technical work to challenge yourself. The ownership is absolute garbage, and takes every opportunity to scam employees from proper pay or benefits. Management needs an overhaul to breathe new life into a dying company. There is no training or mentoring here, it's every person for themselves. Preferential treatment is given to certain employees so work opportunity is unfortunately based on who likes you the most.  Health and safety is not a priority, and this culture is not enforced by managers. Some of the floor staff are great, some not so much.

Good place to learn all about rebuilding and restoring aircraft. No money to be made except on away trips which happen more or less often depending on your luck and your standing with whomever is making that decision. Don't expect a raise too often either. Most of the people on the floor are great but it can be cliquey. People are generally trying their best but stuff is definitely held back by some members of management being shall I say decrepit. 

Assessing and recording corrosion damage, replace and or remake structural parts, 
No hard parts about the job and its stupendous workplace if you have passion about Twin Otters.

Everyone is on a first name basis and the overall feel is very welcoming and open. Learning comes with the job and everyone was very willing to take time to teach and answer questions.

Good bunch of guys/gals on the floor.  Always busy.  No shift work.   Family owned and operated.  Some posibilities for international travel. Training outside of shop provided once they know you will stay. 

Great place to work, easy hour hours but no money to be made here. This place however will give good opportunities to travel to some wonderful places.
