Front desk is definitely an amazing spot to be in if you want to improve your guest service skills. You will often find yourself the brunt of the guests anger, but learning how to redirect that into something valuable and enjoyable for the guest is truly a great skill. The majority of guests will be very forgiving if you can solve their issue, but of course you will always have someone that has just had a bad day, so don’t take what they say personally. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
The staff, always busy. And everyone was friendly. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Everything had to be done in a cirtian time. 
And you werrr very rushed 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very nice, all staff were frindley. 


What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy always busy, no time for breaks

Team work its a must since theres no supervisors all the time, duties are easily manageable since theres always busy and slow times, the tips are very good and cross training is encouraged.

Work /life balance doesn't happen , general favouritism  , gossipy backstabbing environment  . Hr doesn't bring issues forward and the general manager had favourites  and if not one you were not treated fairly . In general rules for favourites not the same as regular workers . 

This place has the worst manager ever. Stay away from this place. They will hire anyone and doesn’t matter if they only clean 1 room a day they won’t get rid of them. So everyone else has to pick up their slack.  There are better places to work than here 

Hardest part of job is dealing with management. Most enjoyable is the coworkers. If you see problems keep them to yourself they don’t care to improve.

Working at the Rodd, they were as organized and informative. Their training was great and I was capable of starting work independently with only two and half weeks of training.

I absolutely loved my position with Rodd Hotels and Resorts. The management and staff are friendly and welcoming and truly care about you. I definitely recommend working for Rodd Hotels.

Great place to work! The employees are just the best and I loved going in to work to see everybody. There really was no pressure or concerns when I would walk in. Really enjoyed my time there and the pay was good for the job I did.

I had a great time at this job. I had a great manager and the employees I worked with were great, a big family. Wage was minimum wage but you also get tips which were good.
