I grew up watching baseball and idolizing players, so it is a really cool work experience to be part of the Toronto Blue Jays organization. As a merchandising staff member; I process all Point of Sales transactions, manage inventory, inform customers about our merchandise/ everything Blue Jays related/ baseball in general and balance registers. The hardest part of this job so far; has been closing/ balancing registers as I wasn't trained very well and haven't gotten the opportunity to do this task as much. Another hard part of the job is trying to balance work-life because the majority of the scheduled shifts are at night so it is hard to do anything in the day. The most enjoyable part of this job is working with great people.  Another enjoyable part of the job is that I get to work in a cool workplace environment. It is different from any other workplace I've been part of. From the cheering fans, fun fan interaction, the smell of popcorn, refreshing breeze when the stadium roof dome is open these are some nice experiences I can tell you about this place especially if you are a Blue Jays/ Baseball fan. Overall, I do like it here.

I commute to every home game,knowing that I'm going to have a great shift. From the moment you get hired, to the training and start of you working they make you feel very welcomed. In Security there's a lot to look out for and a lot to learn, but management and supervisors are very helpful so that you succeed.
Anyone can be a part of the security team, anyone can work at Roger's centre and that's what I like about it.
Everyday is different, your mostly positioned on one level, but you could be at a gate or in one of the bars or patrolling, you could even be on the field if that's for you.
The pay is good the discounts are good, they look after their employees.
They like you to commit to the home schedule, but can be flexible if you have school or need a day off. 
The biggest bonus is your working for Canada's only professional baseball team, and that's something to be proud of.

Started working at the Rogers Centre with Aramark since end of April. So far my experience is great, very busy but also working with a group of employees was productive and very helpful at the same time. Every Fridays and during weekends is the most busiest day at the events. The hardest part of the job is dealing with customers that are rude, intoxicated, and etc. What I enjoy about the job is I get discounts on Food, jerseys, and the tickets as well including the people I work with!

To work at gates, normally 5,000 ppl come through each gate.

What I've learned from this job is to get out my comfort zone, it also taught me communication skills.

The management was not the best, but they tried their best to help when needed. 

Workplace culture was amazing filled with a lot of people, new travellers filled with enthusiasm great vibes and packed every-night.

Hardest part of the job was standing for a long period of day and also the days I never felt to talk I had to push myself to do that every night.

Most enjoyable part of the job was making an amazing experience for the fans who paid there hard earning to money to come enjoy a day at the ball park.

I was working with Rogers Centre at first as a manager, and was responsible for scheduling 80 vendors every month, running a daily beer kitchen with up to 20 vendors, and handling a lot of cash, anywhere from 30,000 to 100,000 dollars. I was also responsible for daily stock and inventory counts. Co-workers there really enjoy their job and make it fun to be at work. I later moved down to what I currently do which is beer vending. I have countless interactions daily with customers, so I know how to get along very easily with people. I lug around a case of beer every time I work and constantly walk up and down stairs for a few hours on average. It keeps you physically fit. The most enjoyable part would be the fans. There are different types and it makes work very fun.

Working at the Rogers Centre (Aramark) was one of the best work-related decisions I have made so far. The massive crowds (up to 10,000 people in a day) really teach someone who wants to work in hospitality how to handle time constraints and pressure. Because you are working with 5-7 additional people at a time you must also learn how to work together to complete transactions the fastest. At the Rogers Centre you feel trusted by the managers to be competent and get the job done without their assistance. I made so many life-long friends this past summer from all different walks of life. The staff roster tells anyone that Aramark does not discriminate when they are hiring as there are employees of all diverse ages, nationalities, genders, etc.

The team that I was working for was a very fun and enthusiastic team who were very organized which made great events for people of all ages. This was a very hard working environment where we had very little time to get a lot done. Thanks to the management, we would always finish a task before the event started even though sometimes there would be complications, but as a team we figured it out to the best of our abilities. The most enjoyable part of the job was working with the children leading them through activities through out the game and watching them leave with a smile.

A typical day at work ever shift, I would scan tickets as the general public entered the stadium. If there was ever an issue,I would figure out the best way to resolve it. What I learned was there were situations that were challenging - which could also be the hardest part of the job. The management was very helpful in helping out when needed and figuring out remedies to any problems that came up. The most enjoyable part of the job was being able to watch the baseball games after my shift was finished for free!! Plus, I was able to get 50% of any food

The work culture here at Rogers Centre is absolutely amazing. Almost like one big family (for concessions that is). #200LevelFam! They're also SUPER accommodating when it comes to your schedule which is def. a plus for us young folks. .The managers are also nice (strict when they need to be). The hardest part of the job is the fact that it can get pretty busy and hectic at times but over time you get used to it. Overall, I LOVE this place!
