Ronald McDonald House

The most compelling reason to work at the Ronald McDonald House is its mission.  Helping families who are in crisis can be emotionally draining yet simultaneously fulfilling when you see how your work assists families.  

This is not a formally paid position.  Pay is negotiated as a stipend that covers the cost of living on site in a small apartment.

Unfortunately with COVID happening I’m not able to put in my time at the house , I am hoping to return again at some point ! 
Giving back to the families in need , is what makes my heart happy !

Amazing place to volunteer, the people there are lovely, the kitchen is huge and the people who eat dinner are so nice and upbeat no matter what they are going through. The place is always clean and it is super good to work in.

never actually worked here only attended for volunteer opportunities and loved every minute of it, staff is very helpful and make the day very enjoyable for the volunteers and the patients and parents attending.

great place and people ,excellent place to do your volunteer hours in highschool and university. a typical day could be highly varied as there was no telling what the demands of the situation was

good volunteer work experience!  Great hours! Team work based environment where everyone is willing to help each other out. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a good experience for a first time volunteer job.

I learnt to work with others. We all were there to help children and their parents. It was fun. I volunteered there with my mom, and we met many people that she still stays in contact with. Sometimes we both go and help out still, when we have days off.

surrey family room , you get to interact with a lot of different walks of life while on this volunteer assignment, always fun here and you get lots of assignments to help people to get through the day

Clerical duties, showing visitors around the building. Learnt and developed people skills and proper workplace cultures. The most enjoyable part of the job was seeing the smiles on kids faces.

Warm and comfortable environment. Nice and kind stuff. It's really enjoyable to talk with and help people living in Ronal McDonald House. It provides a lot of volunteer opportunities.
