There are good people there for sure!

There is multiple disjointed project people have to do. This will mean low work/life balance. As a manager will likely have to clock in- and clock out like a warehouse worker. Your salary will be $10-15k lower than industry average. 
This company is a sole proprietorship eager to be 'corporate' so expect extreme hands-on involvement wherever you are used to having some creative latitude- you will be vetoed, repeatedly.

This  is not a scathing review, but preparing your mind for what to expect will let you use Ronco while Ronco uses you. Otherwise, you could be in for disappointment and frustration. 

Company group benefits is very poor. Absolutely, no RRSP matching funds. Inflation based Salary increments do not exist there. 

You will likely be expected to do some janitorial work even if you work  in the office. Company expects its non-janitorial employees to rotate toilet maintenance. It may have changed but ask them about this during your interview!

starting a day with auto gerated reports from system. i have learned to read the numbers and identify what product lines need to be looked after within the day. plan purchasing orders for oversea shipments. and looking for domestic source for temperary substitutions. 
company management being very helpful and understanding, purchasing officer has enough authority to issue orders and make actions in assigned catagories. 
colleagues are friendly and communication being frankly and productive.
the hard part of the job is being a retail field. forecast for over half an year to factories is quiet challenge. 
and most enjoyable part is also unknown area and whole team with no retain on ideas to make the projects getting done within budget and time frame.


Management is extremely controlling, with micromanagement at every level and a clear lack of trust in the employees. Favoritism is rampant and affects who gets supported or heard. Salaries are well below industry standards, especially given the volume and complexity of work expected. There are no clear paths for growth or promotion, and employee suggestions are often dismissed. Turnover is high, and morale is low because people feel undervalued. If you're hoping for a supportive or empowering work environment, this is not it. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for fair treatment or long-term career development.

The company makes a great series of products that it stands behind completely. Sadly management make all failures the fault of the sales team, micromanage to an insane degree, and expect that Ronco comes before life, family, and health. When sales were trending down after Q1 the response was to simultaneously demand the sales team make more calls per week, while also filling out an ever increasing number of reports and attending longer and longer web based meetings and training (while still only allocating one office day a week). I have decades of experience in the field and never seen a trainwreck like this before

All reviews here are absolutely true. Micromanagement to the highest level creating a negative work place. Management team does not know what is happening out there in the market, neither willing to learn. If they change the people in the top the company would do a way lot better than what it is doing now. Compensation is not competitive just as the company. You will not be selected based on your talent or skillset but based on their perception of whether or not you can stand up to yourself  when they micromanage you. A company that you should avoid at any cost. 

So much micro management
It takes too long and too many people to get an answer
Too many reports
Loved working with the customers and once you've started working the accounts, they get taken away and given to someone else
My Manager had no knowledge of sales and he wasn't allowed to approve anything.
You have to watch everything you say because people get offended
There is no loyalty to employees
You can't trust anyone at this company because nobody has your back

In summary, if I were to rate my “workplace” on effectiveness, I’d give it high marks for purpose and capacity. There’s always room for improvement, especially when it comes to context and deeper human understanding, but overall, the design is functional and responsive to users’ needs.

co worker set me up for failure, mis guided me on how quickly I needed to learn the product line. Owner is a micromanager that expects you to work 16 hours a day. 
I would not recommend the position of territory manager for Ronco. 
Low pay and no benefits. You are watched like a hawk and they don't pay the bonuses they promise.

Giving two-three titles to one person, who is unqualified for the job and unaware of their duties, in order to pay less to the right and professional employees, makes the workplace tough to work in. Low salary and benefits, frequent turnover, and micromanaging. 

This is a job. Not a career. You will work here but know that it is temporary.

Pros: you get paid. Parking is close.

CONS: where to begin?

culture: company culture is terrible. The fool at the top does not know how to motivate employees. There is no joy at the office. Not an enjoyable place to work by far.
