What is the best part of working at the company?
People are very warm and friendly. There are few who are low-key bully to new hires, especially under the management dept and in production. U get health benefits after 3 mons, 2 weeks vacation after a year, good rrsp matching after few years. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Very low pay. Lack of communication between departments and management. There are a lot of overtimes, especially under production-- like max 4-5 hrs almost every weekdays. You have the right not to work over time BUT if you frequently do it some supervisors will be upset on u and take it personally. Lack of recognition for your hardwork. Hard to get a raise and promotion. Unmotivating to work hard, cuz usually TY is the exchange for it. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment depends per department and it is common that managers don't take actions or act deaf for everyones cry. Sometimes you just wanna cry due to feeling hopeless, and resigning is just the best option. Company culture is very family oriented,  u'll feel at home, somehow.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Tasks are repetitive! If you want promotion, you need to grind and act like you're one of the heirs. You need to do it consistently for years, then they will give you a 50 cents or dollar raise after. That's the best they can give.

I started working and everything was looking fabulous but it was not. No proper training for the new hires. You were expected to know everything by yourself. Management is bad…maintenance team is okay but don’t trust people they’re all double face. Great wage but nothing to learn. 
This place smells bad… management keep watching cameras to monitor people. Union is useless…don’t do anything other than impressing the owner and taking money from your paycheque . Also, no job security…you can get fired anytime. So, if you still want to work always have a backup job.

Few things I liked about this job  are parking lot right in front of the production facility, night shift premium, good sanitation crew

I recently started working here and can attest to the fast interviewing process. Despite going through multiple interview processes I was hired within around a week of applying. The orientation was really comprehensive and went over all of the different aspects of the company from the corporate culture to the production protocols. 

So far I have found my team to be encouraging and patient as I learn all of the ins and outs of the job. Everyone I have met has been friendly and helpful. There is a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration between departments. 

Management is totally into Gas Lighting,  they keep stating that there is growth and positions to grow into and be trained on, but when positions become available they hire from outside instead of promoting inside staff.  Instead you are a friend of the shipping department head office people, you can’t get promoted no matter if you go to school and get higher education to grow  in the company, they just don’t care.

ok place to work but when the union took over they replaced a lot of us  and they did it in an innappropriate way if they like you you get to stay myself I mountain biked there 1 hr each way in the rain and snow was one of their best livehangers/dumper operators and was never late just because a few employees didn't like me I was let go after 3.5 yrs not cool I will work hard for any employer and will never be late but at least treat me with a little respect-looking for local work in abbottsford

I enjoyed working at Rossdown Farms, mostly due to certain people.  It was definitely challenging most days and hectic, but still had some calms days.  Regardless of the challenges and stress level, there were some people who made those moments easy by laughing and cracking jokes.  My manager was amazing.  I sure learned a lot about my own position and how to take my own executive decision when no one was available.

By far the most toxic place and people in the management team to work with. HR manager & few other managers will constantly look down at you and consider you nothing, you will always be judged and never appreciated for good work and efforts. Highly unprofessional and bad leadership, your concerns and opinion on anything won't matter to them as THEY DON'T CARE !! In simple words, management lacks common etiquette & how to treat their employees.

A SUPER TOXIC PLACE TO WORK !! SAVE YOURSELF !!

Best place to work. Awesome management team. Colleagues awesome as well. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Every thing was easy going. If you do your job. No one bother you. No stress.

I like it working there. Environment was great.

I’m Millwright, looking after machines, making sure running smoothly.

Rossdown helped me in my professional growth. It is paying for my education as well. I have flexibility in my work. 
Being a payroll and benefits administrator, I have gained the most amazing experience. 
I would recommend all the job seekers to apply for the available positions. Even the general labor positions have flexibility in the shifts. The company provides competitive wages and benefit packages.

Ended up leaving because promised raises weren’t given and wages were slipping below average. Management fought me going to school on my own dime to support the company. Management changed hands many times, felt under appreciated most of the time. 

Maintenance team had a good sense of team but the work itself had some nasty components and felt short handed a lot of the time. A lot of senseless damage done to machines so you’d be repairing a lot of the same stuff.
