I have had the opportunity to get a lot of hands on skills and training such as IV initiation and care, central line care, wound care,  hand hygiene, PCA pump, epidural, and proper assessment and documentation. Staff are very helpful with excellent work ethics and at which time all healthcare professionals involved in patient care work together as a team to better promote health and well-being.The best part of the job is getting the full support of co-workers & management, being involved in decision making and having your voice heard.

I was a student nurse. I was placed in a Medical -Surgical unit. Every day, I worked with a charged nurse that I had to report to. After checking my patients assignment for the day,I organized my day based on the health condition of assigned patients. every day was challenging because it demanded a constant critical thinking and working in a fast-paced environment.

Great staff, wonderful career to advance healthcare knowledge among a team of professionals. typically either an 8 or 12 hour shift. staff was nice to be around and worked as a team. lots of shifts to cover, when someone was sick, workload will double. various amount of patients at any given day. non-stop work.

the work environment in Rouge valley hospital is great. i have done my internship at this hospital and i have learn more than my course requirement. all employees at rouge Valley hospital are very friendly and helpful in nature.

love being an ER nurse, great place to work.  Very busy but all staff work well together to make the place a great hospital.  Never had an issue I didn't feel could not be resolved with the help of my colleagues.

This was a volunteer opportunity provided through COOP fo high-school. This experience taught me a lot about the health industry and patient care. Many different types of cases and people would come in, a lot of filing of health records.

awesome work place. cant stress enough how beneficial it was to be placed in this facility. hands on experiencs on all required skills needed to further your knowledge in health care.

Nice environment and friendly people to work with. Learnt new tasks everyday. Challenging. The management was very friendly and helped while I was an intern student there.

As my first clinical placement, I learned many skills in the unit i was placed. It was tough at the start but the nurses there were friendly and encouraged me. The atmosphere is friendly.
