A typical day at work would be answering calls from customers, insurance companies, and third party booking sites such as Expedia. Taking walk in customers and thoroughly going over car rental contracts and answering and questions regarding same. I also inspect vehicles before renting and when they arrive back to ensure they are in good condition and up to company standards. The biggest lessons I've learned here would be dealing with customers and third party agencies. I've feel I've learned to effectively communication with customers as well as other members of the team to ensure customer satisfaction. The hardest part of the job would be working with short staff. Due to the high level of rentals and phone calls received daily it can be difficult to work short staff, however I feel I have been able to cope under pressure and management is supportive with this as well. The most enjoyable part of my job would be interacting with customers and working with a great team.

This is arguably the worst job you could ever work at. Management is clueless about their employees and only cares about how they well they do at the end of the month. Make you do the most with the least pay. Force you to scam customers with their unbelievable policies. No benefits at all. Very toxic work environment where the management will turn everybody against each other. Will hire immigrants with no PR in Canada because they’re easy to manipulate. Please stay away.

Working here was one of the most unpleasant experiences of my career. Management is disorganized, unprofessional, and completely out of touch with employees. There is no respect for work-life balance, and unrealistic expectations are forced on you without proper resources or support.
The environment is toxic — favoritism, politics, and micromanagement run the place. 
I would never recommend anyone work here unless they want to feel undervalued, stressed, and constantly frustrated.

No fair practices for employee rights.
No consistency with policy and procedures.

If you complain about your payroll hours and overtime or bonuses, they will find loopholes to terminate a bad apple.
A lot of young immature staff

Employers need to be aware that employees are fighting back !!

During my stay here has been very welcoming, knowledgeable of the staff, family own. This place I respect and would work in this place again. Everyone in this workplace takes cares of each other, especially during rush hours. There were communication involved, there were lots of learning that was easy to understand, I’m very grateful That I was part of the team 

Don't expect to get trained on your first day. Many newcomers end up leaving after a short period because the company does not dedicate a training process. The worst part is the lack of communication from the management. You wouldn't know your shift's length until the day of.

Working at routes I gained new experience as I was working in a different field. I got to meet new people from different areas as some customers were from different countries.

Routes Car Rental co is a good co.They have nice work culture.They have lots of different cars in their fleet and they have clients from all over the world.Management is very good and office staff is very nice to their clients.
