Working at RWDI was okay. Colleagues were great, work could be interesting at times, there was little micromanagement and PTO was adequate (a floater day is provided on top of PTO). However, this company is falling behind in terms of providing its employees with remote work opportunities, particularly for certain departments that don't need to be in an office environment. Most other firms in the engineering sector are providing more remote work options while RWDI are unfortunately stuck in the past. Several colleagues of mine were commuting over an hour each way. RWDI brand themselves as an environmentally conscious company (as they are in the environmental/engineering sector), but force unnecessary policies that increase its employees (and its own carbon) footprint. 

I left RWDI for a competing firm that offered me more flexible work from home options and a better salary. My work efficiency has improved considerably since then and I've never been happier with my work. 

There are times I miss working at RWDI. They provide some pretty niche services in the engineering sector which made working there rewarding and exciting at times, but I couldn't go back. Maybe RWDI will one day catch up, but as of now I think they are holding themselves back. 

This company is not complacent. RWDI is constantly growing, expanding, and working towards improving policies and the work that we do! Every day I learn something new and am able to contribute to projects in a meaningful way. 

I enjoy coming into work and collaborating with various teams. Everyone is eager to discuss the projects that they are working on and share their extensive knowledge. It is fantastic working with people who are so passionate about the work that they do!

Great place to work where there was always exciting new jobs to test in the wind tunnel. The people i work with on a daily basis are creative and very intelligent. The hardest part of the my job would be some of the setups for the tests. I enjoyed the variation in the my everyday work.

- Low payment and very low increase
- lots of changes and uncertainty in the sustainability team
- lots of shocking lay offs, without a simple heads up
- stressful work environment
- No training strategy 

It truly was a great place to work. The whole 3-D printing, testing and wind tunnel line of work was very exciting and interesting. I learned a lot about the design and placement of buildings and bridges and the effects on the wind and landscape.

Reputable company. a diverse group of people, people with varied ethnicity. open to change and ideas. great infrastructure and lots of learning happening via the company. collaborative workflow.

wished had lasted longer. great experience.

The focus shifted primarily to company profits, with minimal attention given to personal development and growth. Tasks became repetitive, and the amount of overtime increased significantly, leaving little opportunity to explore new challenges.

the company does excellent work for their clients and have an excellent reputation. lots to learn on the technical side but lots of silos in the company and poor communication from the bottom down.

I was in the production shop, constructing models to be tested. The atmosphere of the place is amazing so welcoming with celebrations and small contests at holidays. A real place for growing. As a co-op for 4 months I do not have any cons.

The projects that come through are very interesting. There is never a boring day. Challenging work that is fun at the same time. The leadership is very transparent and tries to be very helpful.
