Management lies to you and strings you along without a second thought at the location I work out of - your hard work and dedication to you job is pointless (I’ll continue to smile and do my job as it’s not the children’s fault and in this economy I need to feed my own children and keep a roof over our head ) because at the end of the day you’re just an employee to be at their beck and call with no respect or appreciation given.   Wages are not in line with other drivers under same company name with new merger.   They have gone downhill from decent company to poor to work for each year as it becomes more corporate based and drivers are treated as disposable instead of valued employees.   

You start your day early with a circle check, do 3 runs.  Management has favourites. Busses are always breaking down. Hardest part is having no back up from management, schools or parents. 

I love working for this company. A typical day starts early in the morning with a walk-around inspection of the bus and then onto my bus route. Hardest part of the job is concentrating on the road when children are misbehaving. Most enjoyable part of the job are the hours. Friendly and helpful co-workers. Was off work twice for long periods of time for medical reasons and never had a fear of losing my job.

A typical day at work consisted of excessive manual labour in the summer heat. I learnt good work ethic. The workplace culture was awful; the mechanics did not like their jobs and made our lives difficult. Management was professional, but you could tell they didn't care much. Hardest part of the job was having to remove spray paint from plastic nubs with a rag and some breaker fluid. The most enjoyable part of the job was leaving.

I recommend this job to someone who retires from other job and wants something rewarding to do. It makes me smile to see the kids everyday
It's not enough if you are looking for a better pay. . I encourage you to ask staff for more hours. They really will try their best

This is a work environment where you won’t get paid properly unless you are a friend of the owner. There are so many people that get extra pay from the owner and in a few cases it is not proper business conduct. I will not lower myself to do this. So many people have left here to get away from this.

DON’T get fooled when joining this company and think it is a family run organization. The family sold this company and are mega millionaires and taking it out on backs of drivers. Be aware as this is just big business taking advantage of us drivers now. 

The only way to get promoted is to be friends with the owner. The more friendly you are, the better position you get hired into. I think you can read through the lines what that means. Everyone knows this throughout the company. 

great place to work with very professional employees and a supportive culture. Tools for drivers are well provided and maintained and the needs of the drivers are well appreciated and provided for without any problem.

Roxbourgh is very supportive of their employees and their families.  If you need time off for family, it can be arranged they will work with you.  Many times family emergencies come up and the company is there for you.   You can drive for a school district,  take on charters or choose to only do charters.
