Royal Elite International Academy

Royal Elite International Academy is a great place to teach.  The students are easily engaged and eager to learn (most of the time of course).

It's cool working with students from all over the world and learning about their cultures and experiences.  The staff is a nice mix of people both young and old, all very professional and dedicated.  I learned a lot from the people I worked with.

It was exciting working with an organization that is growing fast, I will be excited to see what the future holds for Royal Elite!

This is an international school with students coming predominantly from China, but also from Nigeria and Mexico. Students are generally well behaved and respectful. However, high staff turnover rates are indicative of management issues. Teachers are not paid for planning time, there are no benefits and no chance of a permanent contract. The owner is also focused on building a business, not on the well being of staff. 
This might be a good place to get some teaching experience,  but there is no future here, and you will find yourself stuck in a cycle of endless temporary contracts. If you want a teaching career, look elsewhere.

The students at this private school are typically a great bunch that work hard and enjoy going to school in Canada. Teaching here is good for teachers to gain some quick experience, but strongly consider against long-term employment ... This establishment is VERY unorganized, does not pay contract teachers any prep time, and at times, they ask for too much for next to little or no pay. Do not let them take advantage of your generosity and hard working nature. Building an "elite" academy is a two way street.

They did not have the proper funding for a yearbook whatsoever, they literally wanted a cheap paperback version of a yearbook which I had next to no say in. Not to mention the "teacher" in charge of me was very uncooperative and had literally no background in art whatsoever. They were so incredibly difficult to work with and incredibly unorganized causing me to just stop showing up, this school is ridiculous.

The other teachers are nice and it seemed organized.

Management was supportive when I had an issue with a student.  There is a lot of work, but not more than other private schools I have worked at and I always felt like help was available when I needed it.

There are lots of nationalities in the classroom which makes it challenging, but also interesting.  

I enjoyed my time working there.

There is no respect for employees - management is all but non-existent. No breaks of any kind; no mandatory vacation pay. Employer is not willing to spend money to advance the business or your career.

A typical day at work would be me working behind the computer, filing documents or making and printing newsletters or posters. It could also be me behind a table, welcoming guests and signing them into events. It was very fun for me because my co-workers were very nice and I learned a lot on organization

Poor leadership.  Owner doesn't care about employees.  Kids are great but no support, resources, incentives.  Awful food.  No consequences.  No full time contracts.  No pay for prep or marking.  Not healthy environment- physically and mentally.  No opportunity for professional development.  Do as your told and shut your mouth.

This place is in the middle of nowhere! The pay is lower  than the average, now there are 3 times more work to do but the salary stays the same and the whole environment is just not right. You can always tell that people are not happy working here.
