Royal Fork Buffet

Been at the Royal Fork for some time now. It has slowly been sliding downhill. There used to be a sense of pride in ones work but that is no longer the case. There is no incentive to excel at a particular position as raises have for the most part been completely cut out since the new owners took over a couple years ago. 

A typical day will include coming into work punching in and trying to keep oneself occupied. Unless its one of those surprisingly busy days (which seem to happen less often all of the time) you are told to clean something, or to stop standing around. It is possible to keep busy but the effort required to actually find something to do is just exhausting. One of the worst parts of the day is when you ask to take a quick break you are told no. If you happen to be a Chinese food or sushi cook then you get a minimum 5 hour break each day.

I have learned a lot from my time here.  I learned how to prep food efficiently, clean up after yourself, various people skills, time management and various other helpful life skills. All of this was learned from when the old owners were around.

The management at the Royal Fork seem to have given up on life. Myself I dread coming in to work most days. The younger managers can be quite helpful, understanding and fun to deal with. The general manager is almost impossible to deal with. when she is around you will constantly see her on her cell phone while yelling at the kids to get off of their phones. You could do the best job in the world at something and all you will get out of her is "But you missed this...".

The staff can be very friendly and hard working. Most are kids just trying to make a few bucks while living at their parents. Most just need a little encouragement and they would shine. Unfortunately there is no incentive to do even a decent job.

The hardest part of the job is trying to keep busy and trying to please the general manager.

Most enjoyable part of the job is home time.

A typical day at work would be going straight to the back room, get changed and go straight to work. There was no time for chatting we needed to get the job done efficiently. I learned that there was always something to do at work whether it'd be cleaning the tables or sweeping the floors. My co-workers were friendly, supportive and hardworking which was a great atmosphere at my workplace. The hardest part of the job would be getting everyone working their hardest because there were some people slacking and that would typically get us behind. The most enjoyable of working by far would be talking to all the customers whether it would be listening to their stories or greeting them.

My employer are good to me, and the co workers we get along very well.if we have an essue with the costumers we solved it right away.L iearned a lot to work for this company and i get a lot of experienced, I enjoyed working with people.Passionate a multi task dedicated to supporting team objective to facilitate top quality service for our costumers. Great co-workers but very very slow at there job all the managers are good  and very nice except for the main manager very rude and hypocritical person. The Chinese food people are two faced they will smile in your face and then talk trash about you to the owner they also love them some breaks and not doing anything besides cooking food and rolling sushi that no one likes I feel like the place will be shutting down soon

You come into work during the week and you'll likely be looking for things to do as there won't be much actual work to do. On the weekends it can get extremely busy. Don't worry about doing the best job in the world because your hard work will not be acknowledged. If you think you'll get a raise for working hard, think again.

it would get busy in such a small amount of time but I made myself a lot of friends in all those years I've worked there for. great tips from people around mothers day and Christmas. everybody that comes in to eat greets you in a good manner.

I love working at the royal fork buffet, the job isn't too challenging, the managers are all nice and easy to talk to, as well as very understanding if you are unable to work and give you the time off you need.

My typical day working at the royal fork is bussing tables. what I learned is to keep my restaurant clean for customers, and showing good customers  service to them. Like we're food and drinks are. Good workplace culture, and management.

All of the staff who worked here were absolutely amazing. Unfortunately the restaurant has permanently closed. You couldn’t get a raise but I stayed for almost 3 years simply due to the fact that everyone I worked with were great

Managers that don't care. The place is filthy. Tons of favoritism. The 3 stars is just based of my really chill co-workers, would be 0 stars otherwise
