Almost all of management sucks. They refuse to give raises outside of the small annual cost of living one. No communication at all. Horrible moral among employees. They only care about production, meaning they’ll occasionally harass you about overtime. Then typically around Christmas they lay off the low seniority employees for months at a time. Co workers almost always refuse to do things that “aren’t their job. Management picks their favourite employees, and clearly dislike the rest. Your quality of life will be awful if you work here, and not just during your shift. You’ll be going home all the time and be venting all night about everything I’ve mentioned. Save yourself the stress and find literally any other job.

Have been with the company 12 yrs now and have seen it grow and make big improvements over the years to create a better product and create a better home buying experience for the new home buyer.

Have come to learn what being a customer is and what it takes to service the client. Management has been instrumental in making it's employees aware of the same and strive to continue to do so.

Fellow employees have been great to work with. Lots of driving as we service clients province wide. The plus side is you get to see all parts of the province and are continually meeting new people on a daily basis.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Find another employer to work for. No job security in this employer. They hang employees out to dry even though this employer commits building code violations on almost every home. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Customer not getting what they think they paid for. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Back stabbing is the way this so called Christian claim employer does. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Build quickly not adhering to building code.

Managers care about making money, rather than caring and servicing their clients, along with little respect for their Employees.  The company is in a 40+ bubble as the management will not make improvements unless it's their ideal, even though Employees make suggestions to improve their tasks.  Good people leave their jobs due to poor management.

Bringing clients dreams to reality

The overall cost to build with interest rates so high the company just wants you to sell and sign a contract

I had previously worked for Royal Homes so my experience had put me in a position that I could start in a challenging job. I work with a group of great people, so the day goes by fast. However because this is a manufacturing plant in the housing market we subject to seasonal layoffs. This can create some stress for the Winter months.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Wage is comparable. Monday to Friday

Management doesnt care about you.

Very clicky within departments

Royal Homes was a great employer during my time there. Supervisors and Lead Carpenters were knowledgeable and gave insightful direction. Allowed junior staff to work independently. Lots of opportunity to travel across Ontario. Wages and Benefits were great!

Great opportunity to learn about what goes on behind the scenes in Home Construction. Had wonderful staff to work with and learn from. Interesting concept of building a home in a controlled atmosphere then transporting it to a location on a truck.

If you know what you are doing you will have a problem. Training is look it up on utub and watch a video. You know how good that works. Idiots will do well because management has no backbone and are afraid of the truth. Good luck. Lots of short cuts.
