Can start at a variety of times only ever find out the day before around 3 o clock. find out shifts for the week on a Friday beforehand generally, and the jobs you will be covering wont always be the ones you end up on. 
adding more to the delivery making it longer, and have to walk at a fast pace to complete the round. because of the lack of flexibility the lieu days gained from bank holidays can never be taken when you need them. Don't expect to get Saturdays off if your a new starter, and general expect your day off to be a Tuesday. 
footwear provided isn't for everyone, and waterproof coats aren't waterproof. 

some pro's to royal mail are salary and breaks are still paid for.

Productive, fun and safe place to work. Most employees got along with one another fairly well. Managers were available and open if you had any questions or concerns. The job was mostly stress free except sometimes work got very slow at certain times of the year.

The work is handled by Angard Staffing who are not reliable and seem not to know what they are doing. I have suffered many things there. Sometimes the correct hours are not paid. Sometimes you are assigned shift and on reaching there, you are told no work. You communicate and many at times get no response.

Sorting import mail daily during late shift which I like.

Half are hard working and other half are slow or lazy as I work hard myself.

team work is one of the key element of the job. The management is not what i was expected. About my co-workers, they all nice and helpful. The hardest part of the work is during the winter, the delivery outside very difficult because of the snow. The most enjoyable part is when i meet with customers and try to sort out their concerns about their post.

Can get very busy at times, if you communicate with management you can usually get help when you need it. Great bunch of guys and great banter. 90 odd pence for a first class stamp, ridonculous.

Pretty straightforward job. Yes the starts were early but you're usually finished by mid afternoon, which makes this job ideal for those with children who need picking up from school.

For start I loaded trailer with yorks. Drive from one place to another. unloaded trailer and take some rest till I start loaded return loads. Then I drive back to depo.

Hard to get into, but a good place to work once you've gotten a permanent contract. A liveable wage, benefits, flexible hours. Only downside is it is hard to get onto a shift pattern that is predominantly daytime.

Overall a decent place to work, keeps you fit and get to see regular friendly faces. Management is often changing so that's a downside but i'd definitely recommend it to friends.
