Like the job as a contracted full professor. Good pay, great honor and prestige. Excellent students and departmental support. Not easy to be hired as the requirements are very strict and it also need security clearance. Many students are already medical doctors or soldiers with a master degree before taking the required courses. This is the ONLY national university in Canada. Other military "universities" are actually branches of this great university. It is under the department of defense of the Government of Canada 

My current position has lead me to running a calendar for two very important people at Royal Military College. I not only set their days for them but complete all budgeting and ordering for the office. A part of my duties include translation coordinating, finance and travel planning for the government.

In a high pace environment dealing with several different people I have to be organized and friendly. Organizing and coordinating schedules for everything from Terry Fox Runs to Physical Education classes.

Classroom instruction in a variety of political science topics (such as Canadian politics, international relations and strategic studies) coupled with extra-curricular work such as mentoring the college's competitive model UN and model NATO teams.

Management and staff were great and fun to work with. Just not enough hours. We worked as a team to set up and then had our individual work to do. Customers were great. Usually same people every day. 
I was hired just before the pandemic and let go during the pandemic.  

A good college. A typical day is from 9am to 5pm. Working here is convenient, There is a lunch room with a microwave oven and other utilities. People here are very nice. Some graduate students and professors usually take a dinner together on Thursday.
There is no cellphone signal in the office.

Ever-changing, ever-budget challenged, but filled with people with a can-do attitude, RMC is a great place to work, arguably the best years of my life, although the system doesn't easily allow outsiders to the Public Service to build a career there.

The Royal Military College of Canada is a very professional institution in which helped me to excel in multiple aspect of my life. As a student Athlete I learned to manage my time and effort in a great fashion.
