It gives me great pride and pleasure to speak candidly and sincerely regarding my tenure at the ROGC. My only reason for leaving was an offer to work at a Resort up north in Algonquin Park (it intrigued me) which also presented another new experience in my work history.  .

Each day/night was an oppportunity in itself to apply my skills - both social and professional - with utmost joy. The interaction with staff and members alike was such that a mutual respect for one and all was maintained at all times. We had a fabulous workplace of fun with every event and the F & B team was exceptional - if not the best I have encountered in the industry. Thank you for allowing me to express :)

Not a bad place to work. Good opportunity for professional growth and learning, although limited opportunities exist within the company for advancement. Time off policy was standard and flexibility was extended when needed.

Most people at all levels of the organization are friendly.

The pay is also a bit low for the work they expect of you. The GM during my time was a bit of a micro manager, but they no longer work there.

clean golf clubs, or set up Golf carts for the day, clear the hitting range, and maintain the hitting deck.

Learned how to do continuous donuts in a golf cart 

Management was very particular about the way things "should" be done.

Being nice to rich snobs was very difficult.

Most enjoyable, was clearing the hitting range because you sit and drive in a cart.

I learn something new everyday at this job. The staff are friendly, reliable, resourceful and kind. I am very sad to go. 
The hardest part of the job is that it is very physical and you are exposed to the elements at times, but if you like being outside then this really isn't an issue, it's beautiful there. Ironically, it's also the most enjoyable part of the job.

They make all the teenage kids rack bunkers for hours.. seems cool until you’re done and then get in trouble for not doing enough.. They’ll make you work in 35° no shade so stay hydrated. They were never clear on what the rules were to golf there

I don’t exactly have bad experiences just frustrating experiences that sometimes make the job difficult and if you don’t understand sometimes it might not go very well for you

Great work environment, loved the team, tons of opportunities to learn, and advance your career. Managers are very helpful, thoughtful and love to teach you/give you tons of opportunities to try new things

This company is coo. because they hire just about anyone as a first time server and it is great experience. They teach you the ins and outs of serving lifestyle although it is very basic serving it is not like the real industry as it is much more relaxed management.

Grounds Department is not a good place to work for females.

salary increases are inadequate. 

Job performance bonuses have been eliminated.  

No sick days for full time/seasonal employees.

Best part of job = working in a beautiful setting

difficult to get full-time position as a server. seniority employees get to pick their shifts first. also didn't like the split shifts. They need to work on a better organizational culture.
