Management great, and your job security is based on hard work - and enthusiasm to grow your career as well as the business. Lead Generators are responsible for finding potential property owners, calling them and setting up appointments to view properties. You get your own desk, computer, e-mail and a lot of training to help you succeed. You get a wage + commissions, which can lead you quickly to a middle class salary.
Leasing Specialists are responsible for taking calls, emails, marketing, drafting leases, notices, etc. for vacant units. If you're ready to work hard - this is the job for you. If you want a cushy 9-5, keep looking. You're expected to multitask, and when you're taking calls from perspective applicants, you're required to ask a series of 50 questions and enter them perfectly into the database software.
Relocation Specialists are responsible for meeting with property owners to get listings, and conducting showings for the properties, and some responsibilities with marketing the units. You have to be on call all the time, and constantly on the road, getting calls from the office, having your schedule adjusted, and occasionally people not showing up to view the units. This position has profound growth potential, and it's definitely a career - so long as you're working harder then the average Realtor.  
The software, PropertyWare, isn't the worlds best, however, management is really working to improve it's functionality. Royal York is always adapting, and thanks to a hard working, youthful team, the company is resilient enough to get through anything.

A typical day at Royal York Property Management is busy, structured, and very results driven. You are constantly learning because the company uses a lot of technology and updated systems, so you end up improving your communication skills, time management, and problem solving. Management is very involved, and they expect high standards, but they also give you the tools you need to succeed. The workplace culture is focused on efficiency and teamwork, and there is always someone willing to help if you ask.

The hardest part of the job is keeping up with the volume of tasks, especially during peak seasons, but once you get the hang of the processes, it becomes manageable. The most enjoyable part is seeing the direct impact of your work and feeling like you are part of a company that is growing and modernizing the industry. If you like structure, accountability, and clear expectations, this is a good place to work.

Clear company growth is visible, I am a prime example. In just 18 months I went from a call center representative to a call center manager. 

With the initial training plus the continuous guidance and on-going training from my direct superiors allowed me to get where I am today. In-house promotions keep everyone wanting to work harder to get that next promotion.

The very positive atmosphere! Everyone is easy to work with and always happy. Management is always looking to see how they can make a call centers life easier. Be it a new headset or a new chair.
Great at keeping up to date on technology and software. Always having the latest and greatest to help us work better.

Comfortable workstations, spacious office and spacious boardrooms. All glass office allows us to feel involved with everyone.

My experience as a Leasing Agent at Royal York PM has been highly positive. The fast-paced environment, combined with the support of a great team and management, has helped me to significantly grow my leasing portfolio and professional abilities. As a Business Development Specialist I had to deal with calls - more specifically inbound calls and it was a nice experience. Our manager was always to help us whenever we needed anything especially in the first weeks of training. Good place to develop your sales skills and also if you see sales as your career path you can learn a lot at Royal York Property Management. I even referred a friend here in Toronto since he was a Business major and wanted to start working for them after graduation. Hope all went well!

I have worked for five organizations including RYPM in the past two decades of my career and I can affirm this company is far better than the rest in the industry. Let it be their emphasis on quality work, portfolio of clients, or internal culture, everything is top-notch. I particularly loved how encouraging the managers were. Plus, we never hesitated to reach out to the higher authorities with our concerns in times of need. Four years of working with them have been extremely valuable and I couldn’t be more thankful.

While the pace can be fast and demands can run high, the sense of accomplishment when a job is well done is unparalleled. With a few adjustments in communication and workload management, I believe Royal York PM can continue to be an excellent place for maintenance professionals to thrive.
