Royal camp

Every day is a busy day at the from desk. Something is always broken or a staff member needs help with something and thats my job to make sure I can get someone to go and help them out as soon as possible. My coworkers were amazing. When we use to have the crazy Monday 700+ check-ins, we came up with a system that made the lines go by fast. Process and sign client in, sign log book, and then hand them their room key. It was a long process but went by fast. I enjoyed this job even though it was busy and stressful at times because I always had something to do and if I didn't I made myself busy by coming up with a project to better the front desk for my coworkers and I.

Royal Camp - Morning shift started at 7am, toolbox meeting every morning regarding safety and hazards. Prepare salads, sandwiches, restock dining room. Housekeeping the clients rooms, laundry, vacuuming rooms and dorms, making sure emergency exits were clear. Listening to clients needs.

Park Place - filing, bookkeeping, booking patients, receiving payment from patients, billing patients, checking patients in and bringing to rooms for Chiropractors. Ordering supplies, cleaning rooms and clinic. Tending to Chiropractor needs.

I love working with public, have very good telephone matter and multitask, problem solver.

Very Organized And we'll run Company ! Fabulous Management. Awesome Corporate Chef ;Trisha -Graves. Lot's of Fun at Camp and lots of learning different Styles . Simply Delicious Food made with the Best Quality ingredients. I'm a Butcher of over 35 Years and Very Satisfied and grateful to have had the opportunity to work with this wonderful company. You will meet many excellent people on site. Staff tend to be over worked due to low ratio of employee to occupancy. It is a lifestyle different to most. If Management is stressed by the Office you will feel it. Camp workers can expect solid good meals and decent accomidation. The biggest downfall of Royal is the H.O. H.R. staff. Too many during my stay with no camp experience and trying to push the foreign worker program. 

A typical work day consisted of:
- cleaning the dining area
- restocking all foods, condiments, utensils, etc.
- doing dishes
- unloading freight on delivery days
- inventory counting

The most enjoyable part about my job was working with different people.

There were trade mills.weght lifts and other exercise machines in most working locations and sites. when time allowed, i would go and take part in walking and running onto the trade mills.The exercises helped to stay fit for my job always and was a part of social interaction with my fellow coworkers.

I started as a camp attendant and ended up as a second cook. Learned and honed a lot of skills such as time management, food safe, basic mechanical skills, cooking skills, team building and safety. I got to see a lot of country and met a of people which helped me learn how to network. I really liked making a home away from home for a lot of workers out there.

a typical day at work is getting up early working 12/hr days and working with great people from all over the country i learned that if you have fun the day goes fast. the most enjoyable part of the day is when its over and you can go relax with co-workers or just by yourself feeling that you did a great job

I don’t regret leaving Horizon North to come to work for Royal camp one bit best thing I ever did , management is awesome actually just got a raise last week  12 hr days time goes fast made some awesome friends , camp life isn’t for everyone one but well worth it 

It's a job away from family for better financial gain. Be mentally prepared to be away from the city life for 2 to 3 weeks a month. Depends which camp and manager you work under, it can be either stressful or relaxed. But overall it's a good management.
