What is the best part of working at the company?
Great team work ethic, take care of thier team members in terms of proffessiinal development training and employee benefits.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working from a distance with clients is a challenge, rather than one on one in person. However, resourcefulness makes for success.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Positive Comradship, not weighed down by constant political opinions daily. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Some walk-in clients, telephone inquiries, new client orientations and follow-up appointments with Employment Seekers, Post Secondary or Trades clients. Some travel on mobile office uni some days, or attending wonderful planned educational events for Metis citizens. So busy but never a dull moment.

This management at the top does not follow through on promises.  They expect you to be accountable for all work, yet management is never accountable.  HR works for upper management and condones unethical behaviour.  No direction, no humanity, single handedly the absolute worst place I’ve ever worked.  Treat employees like slaves, bullying is a normal management style, absolute lack of transparency and honesty.

While the hiring process takes a while, it is well worth the wait. Rupertsland Institute treats their staff fairly and is very supportive. All levels of management care about the staff and while some reviews blame management for the issues that they faced, it really is a reflection of the effort the individual put in. 
I would recommend this organization to anyone who enjoys helping others and is willing to put in a solid effort. 

While I was temping at Rupertsland it was an amazing experience! I had an orientation day where I was walked through every area that I would be working through. I was told about several areas of work and trained very well before I took on the position. The people there were quite amazing and were willing to answer any of my questions. It was definitely an amazing experience.

While Rupertsland Institute was once an inspiring workplace with a promising mission, its current environment raises significant concerns. Many employees report feeling unsupported. 


Good working relationships with peers.  Mid managers are very supportive but very poor management at the top with no delegation and much micromanagement. Other staff are competent and motivated.  Have great mandate and good benefits.

Job is meaningful but there's a great need for supports for clients that often exceeds what we are able to give. This can sometimes be hard to swallow.

Work environment was good. Worked closely with other workers in the same region, which provided lots of support and a good team culture. Some managers were great leaders, some were just strict and bossy. 

Met with clients for assessment for needs. Assisted Manager with Assistant Manager duties, 
Enjoyed the interaction with coworkers
Working with disability clients

The culture here is based on favoritism and micromanaging some but not others.  Employees lack training to support clients and bullying is accepted ..
