STC is a great place to work. I have excellent support from my team, and from my manager. There has been some disconnect between departments in the past, but current reorganization is working hard to better integrate services and to make processes and procedures more cohesive. The current leadership (CEO, Tribal Chief, HR) has worked very hard to create a safe, supportive work environment, and it is showing as the changes roll out. Most importantly, the work that we do with our people at STC is so meaningful, and rewarding, although challenging like any job working in human services disciplines. I am proud and grateful to work where I do, and to have the team I get to work with. 

Going over email then going case plan for the day. Follow up with clients seeing if they following with case plan. Heading out to communities if need to or doing court duties whither or not attending court or sending court document to the lawyer. What I learn was that liability is big thing and not to mix with personal life and work and let the agency cover cost of clients . Not mess up your driving record with STC because it can limit you how you can help your clients then management will start to knit pick on little thing even if it not important. Most enjoyable thing  about work with STC is the client and staff.

Great staff, positive work environment

Not a stressful environment,  was a pleasure to work here, but the pay is not great.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Positive,  fun, supportive,  cohesive, supportive. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Self directed work with alot of tasks to complete,  you need to be self directed and motivated.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Nothing but was a great learning experience. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Toxic environment. To many miserable people all trying to run the job. No direction, and no compassion for employees or clients

Not a good place to work with mo direction

Stress and more stress. Was not a good work environment for anyone.

the main priority of this position was to gather information about the Saskatoon Tribal councils history for its 25th Anniversary. coordinate the annual elders gathering and basic office duties such as filing typing, writing monthly reports for various activities.

Had a very interesting day with my supervisor on case reviews. Both of us seems to be in agreement to the case and safety plans. children are being brought home to their parents after being in group home for stability and structure.

When you leave for the last time.

When you start your first shift.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic. They just want yes-people. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Long. Underpaid. Unappreciated. Not worth your time.

Absolutely awful place of employment. No support, toxic, mean, rude management. Ask questions, they say they'll get answers ... they never follow through. Allow departments to run with little to know resources. Won't hire new staff, burn out the ones they have. Pay is the only thing worth staying for - but its not worth selling your soul. STAY CLEAR.

My experience was amazing rewarding and challenging at the same time. The blend of diversity of each department coming together for one cause is a very beautiful thing to be apart of . My level of service and exelcelnce roots from the experiences I received from my employment.  

Working with kids is hard but worth it. Staff need to remember these are children in care who are in need of a safe, loving and stable home and not treat it like just work. Kids need attention they need affection and they need to know someone cares. It wouldn’t hurt to be more open with the children and less strict.
