Responsibilities
•	Provide onsite services by measuring, testing and supervising the running of fluid mixing and pumping, including technical analysis and specific product and practical recommendations for controlling fluid properties under minimal supervision. I have worked on many rigs under difficult conditions and completed the projects successfully.
•	Provide fluid solutions to downhole problems, like: freeing differentially stuck pipe, gas and water kicks, unstable wellbore, lost circulation, bit balling, hole cleaning in horizontal leg, reduction of drilling waste, decreasing torque and drag, and reducing low-gravity solids.
•	Calculate cost estimate of various options to solve downhole problems. Identify ways to reduce costs of dry products and fluid systems. Observe performance trends and contribute to fluids program design.
•	HTHP experience (Mud Weight  up to 2240kg/m3 ; Down hole temperature up to 220ᵒc )
•	Deep Water drilling experience (2475m Water Depth)
•	Prepare fluid management plans and maintain fluid properties on rig site by testing fluid properties accurately.
•	Maintain inventory at customer well sites.
•	Provide effective customer service by providing rig-site customers and coordinators information regarding the progress of a rig site and create/implement solutions to rig site problems.
•	Provide ongoing support to assist operations in providing our customers the most effective, environmentally safe drilling fluids available while optimizing the well-bore construction process and maximizing our customer's production.
•	Recommend solid control processes to ensure economic removal.
•	Write reports on daily basis and issue all required standard technical reports related to fluid for the final well report.
•	Train new hands in the industry.
•	Good communication with rig personnel and client representative.

Familiar Technologies: 
•	All equipment involved in formulation and testing of drilling fluids, QC checks, ‘mud check’ protocols i.e. HTHP, API filtration, viscometers, retort, all standard titrations, etc.
•	HTHP Invert Emulsion, SBM (Paradrill), Diesel (VersaDrill), Low Toxic (VersaClean), Sodium & Potassium Chloride, Polymer Systems, Glycol,  PHPA, FloPro, Guar Gum and Prehydrated Gel pills, Floc PHG, Salt Gel and Completion systems.
•	Heaviest mud in my records = 2240 kg/m3
•	Hottest down hole temperature in my records= 220ᵒc
•	Fluid optimization to aid in hole cleaning and optimize rig parameters to stay in advised ECD and ESD.
•	Experience of drilling in high H2S bearing zones.
•	Experience of Vertical, Directional, Horizontal, Exploratory and Development wells.
•	Experience of managing major influx, severe to total losses scenarios.
•	Experience of deep water drilling.
•	Pump & Dump Drilling.
•	Minimizing the reservoir damage while drilling.
•	Perform analytical test on drill cuttings to determine oil/water content.
•	Good at working with OneTrax and Virtual Hydraulics soft ware (MI SWACO soft wares).

•	Canada, North Atlantic Ocean: Orphan Basin (2475m water depth), Flemish Pass (1166m water depth), Grand Banks.
•	Iran: Caspian Sea(766 m water depth), South Pars gas field, Hendijan, Bahregansar, Darkhowain, Abouzar, Dorood and Salman fields (Mostly offshore rigs)
•	Oman: Mabrouk, Wadi Musalam, Suwaihat, Malan. (Onshore)
•	Dubai: Umm Al Qaiwain (Offshore)

A typical day at the office started with a pre-trip/maintenance check of my equipment.  Then mobilization of a convoy of frac equipment to the next location where after rigging in all the frac equipment and pump lines we would have a pre job safety meeting.  The work was always dealing with high pressures, flammable substances and harsh chemicals.  A highly dangerous occupation.

I learned to work safe, operate many types of equipment and acquired my Class 1 drivers licence through the Schlumberger driving school located at Didsbury, Alberta.  This was a very valuable experience that I will always carry forward with me in my driving skills.

Management was authoritative and strict (for good reason). But fair and non-judgmental.

My co-workers where hard working, hard playing, fearless individuals with a sense of adventure and daring. 

The hardest part of the job was being away from home for long periods of time.

The most enjoyable was sharing the days events with my crew after work with cold beverage.  And pay day!

Extremely diverse workforce all races colors and creeds not to mention ages!!!!!!!(more my thing) lol

Concerns with work always seem to be dealt with in a speedy and effective manner. No beating around the bush and no hidden agendas. Management is always willing to listen. I think this is because management is developed from a grassroots level
I have thought of leaving but quite honestly I dont think there is much or any better out there 

A first thing to do is to check mail to see if a server has send an error notification, then check log for all servers and disk storage to see a warning or fatal error if a major error exist we begin to deal with it immediately by our team . after the daily check , I open the web to take the users ticket ( Intouch tickets) and solve them.It is a good thing to learn how to manage your time to deal with all problems in a way to be sure that things done 100% in the right way without errors,
the preferable part that if a problem appears, all the team deals with it together to eliminate any possibility that an error occur. The hardest part of the job is when we plan for total shutdown of the center to do an upgrade (software or hardware) that continue for more than one day in a weekend, and the most enjoyable part is that we always install the latest technologies for servers or  big data storage.

Schlumberger oilfield services is a multi-national oil servicing company. They have a diversified network of staff from virtually all parts of the world. Working with Schlumberger obviously afforded me the opportunity to travel wide and interact with people of different backgrounds and cultures. I learnt to understand the nuances of different ethnicities and respect their boundaries and ethics while successfully working with them as a team. The compensations from the job was very encouraging however, the job is very demanding depending on ones role. This is why it may be usually referred to as a 24-hour lifestyle- meaning one could be called upon anytime  as an employee to render service for the company.

A good typical day at work  began with a morning meeting, gathering all the employees to update everybody about what was under processing and dispatch job taskes, also to mention events or remarks that could improve the overall team yield. Contineous learning environement thanks to a supportive management and divers challenges. Fun smart and easygoing colleagues working together towards the same goal with is the success in the job. the hardest part of the job was to sit on the desk most of the time, especially in the crisis times. However the most enjoyable part of it was the ability of travelling and the uncredible diversity of the team members.

Enjoyed the several assignments and positions which I had ,it has given me a lot of Technical,Marketing and customer service experience 

one of the biggest challenges which I had is working in remote location and leading ,train my team, it was a great joy for me which made me realize that I am capable of doing a great achievements.

Good relations with your co-workers is a key for success

Field engineer was a hectic job, long hours of no slep, so many responsibilities, you are kinda the jack of all trades, but i learned a lot on how to adapt, hard work and deal with silly clients. management is OK, sometimes cooperative, sometimes they gave me hard time, the workplace culture is harsh and you are expected to be a very hard worker but its multicultural, and this was the fun part of it. the hardest part of the job was the long hours of no sleep and the stress during the operation. the most enjoyable part was the training courses where they most of the time send you abroad where you have a lot of fun.

You would walk into the building and you would see everyone have a smile on their face and a cheery attitude. My co-workers were very understanding and taught me effectively and explained what was happening with the object we were constructing or testing. Management was going through a change, so everything was left unorgonized and a big mess. This also was the hardest part of the job, because there was no set Manager or supervisor. But the people were easy to talk to, so if there was a problem it could get dealt with effectivly.

Expectations and work objective for an employee are known and reviewed quarterly. This is beneficial, if there is clarity for task it is easier to achieve the best outcome. Monetary compensation, salary and benefits, were competitive within the industry.
