    Expected to travel internationally with 2 days notice, sometimes less. Pay is below industry standard unless you are in management, who have no responsibility or accountability. Corporate (who is based in Portugal) make all decisions down to the purchasing of consumables like a screw and washer. 
    Management do not have any of the qualifications for the positions they hold, they were appointed by friends at the top or placed there to fill a spot when the division opened.
    The company has a terrible reputation for not paying suppliers and is having a difficult time finding companies to work with. 
    Many senior skilled employees have left in recent years for cost of living raises or to leave the management team.
    New, Jr. employees are not trained and have no senior employees to learn from anymore. If you are a young worker looking to break into the industry, look elsewhere. Apprenticeships are also not allowed.
    Health and safety is not taken seriously. The office staff tick the boxes for corporate to see and safety concerns are ignored.
    Senior management will charge the company to play golf in another province, but won't give employees their entitled company work uniforms.
    In summary: if you want to a career where you can coast go for it. If you want to achieve anything this is not the place for you.

Sodecia GTAC makes a lot of promises and looks great from the outside. Their slogan is “bringing value to you” but in reality it is just a marketing slogan. I worked at gtac for 10 years have seen a revolving door of very highly skilled employees quit for reasons of money, incompetent management and work life balance. I have been looked over for advancement roles and watched managers’ friends from outside get supervisory roles and more money than internal employees even when they were not qualified for the job. GTAC’s recycling program gets tossed into a garbage bin to save a few bucks on recycling pick up. Employees are expected to use personal cars for local pick ups or deliveries to save a buck, and safety concerns are ignored if it costs money too. Computers required for work are old and do not work most of the time. Quality of work for projects does not seem to matter as our only customer is other Sodecia’s. The union has been voted in at the other sodecia divisions in London and it’s probably a matter of time before it will be at GTAC. Wages, benefits and work standards (there aren’t any) are well below industry norms and the management team do not have the knowledge or experience to improve. I just recently quit for $15k more annually, another week vacation, better benefits and a real chance to add value to me!
