I’d recommend taking the job temporarily until you find something better.
They are an extremely racist and very conservative company.
They will act friendly when interviewing you and maybe the first day or two you start but they will turn on you and start to talk to you with no respect whatsoever.
There is a lot of gossiping and
favouritism in the company.
I as a construction cleaner was treated like a second class citizen. If everyone was allowed to leave early for the day and still be paid, I would be the only person who would have to stay and work the rest of my shift. 
You’ll get minimum wage so put in minimum efforts. Even if you put any effort in it goes unnoticed and unappreciated.
There are higher management that come by from time to time and for some reason it’s a big deal when they do, if they interact with you it’s to tell you things aren’t good enough and you need to do better. 
The higher managements attitude leaks down to every department which is why everyone is treated poorly and its a highly toxic environment to work in.
I couldn’t last any longer and my body physically couldn’t take it anymore. I watched a 50 year old woman cry because her boss was yelling at her. They talk to employees like a disobedient dog and make fun of people for not being able to speak english. 
There are too many “managers” or bosses so you will hear a couple different versions of how to do something. 
Please make note of the mistreatment you see or experience and make a complaint with the human rights commission. record conversations or have proof if you can. 
High turnover rate, feels more like a prison. Run while you can.

This company has very good benefits and some nice perks (including free lunch and access to booking corporate condos), however it appears the reason they offer so many perks is because they can't keep staff otherwise.  It seemed every week I worked there people were quitting and new people getting hired.  They just cannot retain staff.

Management is extremely difficult to talk to - there is little to no support across most departments.   The mentality of the company is very old school.  I would say it is not a good place to work for younger people (millenials).  There is a huge disconnect between executive team members and all other staff.  They really don't make an effort to get to know their employees on a personal level.  There are some really great people working there however upper management does no seem to recognize their talent and those people move on.

I think if a company knows how to make their staff feel valued and empowered, they do not need to offer perks such as free lunch in order to try and keep them.

Avoid working here at all costs, especially if you are a younger person looking to advance their career.  The environment is very stuffy to work in and they are not progressive in their work style at all.  Not flexible on hours, working remotely, etc. either.

Answer and receive phone calls. Deal with personal and department emails daily. Receive incoming and outgoing mail & distribute. Receive and send out daily and weekly couriers to various locations. Forwards faxes and service calls to proper departments regularly. Forward all staff absences to the proper department. Update Building Operator On-Call schedule every Friday. Update Property Management/Building Operators on Property Distribution lists. Create Service Ticket Reports for Property Management as requested. Create Pivot Tables & Pie Charts for Property Management once a month. Open/Close Service Tickets for tenants and/or as requested by Property Management and send confirmation emails. Ensure Property Management is aware of escalated service requests. Building training binders for building operators.

Upper management sets out high expectations and offers little/no support, lacking real leadership and direction, little infrastructure in place to help guide you, ultra high turnover. 

The turnover is a clear indicator of the culture, this is a place to go if you need a pay check. I strongly advise against leaving gainful employment for Strategic Group. If you need experience and have no job it is a stepping stone that you can make work for you. 

Do your research about the industry Strategic Group is well known for their "unconventional" methods. do yourself a favour and google the company plenty of feedback available online to support my statements. They would try and tell you its "historical" .... but the industry would differ.

One of the standout qualities of this company is the incredible people. There are team members who have been here for 15+ years, and they serve as fantastic mentors—highly personable, supportive, and full of wisdom. The environment here is energetic and fun, built around a true "work hard, play hard" culture.
Leadership is consistently accessible and actively present, especially at all-staff events. They make a genuine effort to stay connected with everyone across the organization. If you're looking to set goals, grow professionally, and learn something new every day, this is absolutely the place for you.

Having had a seasoned career I have had the good fortune to have worked at some premier properties for some really fabulous employers and met some really great people along the way.
I also in my career worked at a couple companies that really I just want to forget.
Strategic Group fits as one of the best companies I have worked for in my 30 year career.   The people are approachable and friendly, the colleagues  I work with are knowledgeable and we work together as a team to make a difference (its like family)

Strategic Group offers nice incentives such as free lunches but it's like they offer that so you go eat your lunch at your desk and don't take a proper break. Work life balance is not respected and the mentality of the office is very conservative. Staff are constantly quitting and the people who currently are over-worked with unrealistic expectations. It is a very negative environment.

Upper management is a joke along with their support people. They are rude and and minimizing.

I think Strategic Group is turning a corner on the negative perception that people have. The culture is improving, business is good and there's a clear vision of where the company is going and how it will get there. A few excellent hires in the past year have really positioned Strategic Group as a company that is ready for the growth that is to come. 

I witnessed racism here too. Two employees were helping us from Calgary at the time. The supervisor in charge at the time was not kind to us. She claimed the job was not good enough and threatened to make two employees stay late. I had called in sick a few times, and she humiliated me for it. It is good and honest work that we do as cleaners. We should be uplifting each other.
