At first SuperSucker seems like a really chill place to work. Until you realize that if you aren't Dutch, or Dutch Orthodox, you get treated completely differently.   

-The Sales team is given free reign to make promises that the rest of the Service team cannot follow through on, but you will be reprimanded and scolded for not fulfilling them.

-No accountability for other teams' making mistakes.   If they do make a mistake the Service is assigned the blame immediately.

-Nepotism is everywhere in the office as everyone is either related, or are close friends outside of work.   This close inner circle will shirk their responsibilities off to someone else, without recourse, and simply blame the person they dumped it on.

-Culture is terrible.   They have built a culture of fear and blatant favouritism.   Your workload will double, however when you ask for a fair compensation increase commensurate to the workload you will be ostracized and told your work is unsatisfactory.

-The job you "got hired for" and the job you end up doing will be entirely different.   The job description will be completely dumbed down in order to get away with paying you less.   

-Middle management, save one or two, is laughable, will often disappear for hours on end every day, unable to assist with things their underlings may require.   When they ask you a question, it will be continuously asked until they get the answer they want, NOT the correct/appropriate answer.

-You won't advance anywhere due to higher up positions being doled out to friends/relatives
- You'll be shunned for being ill, and expected to come in when you're sick.


Well, just from hearing the name you know you can't really expect much from these guys.
Typical day starts between 6 and 7am
The very good paying  jobs are only reserved for a few individuals 
Employees spend more time complaining than getting the job done.
 These guys only hire amateurs, you can't expect to grow in a place where good work is not appreciated.
Stay away from any company that fronts as religious people.
Always check your paycheck, this place is designed to just pass through, you're dealing with management that has no idea what they are doing.
On the bright side, you get work supplies and a sweater at the end of year staff party for all your hard work haha

I have had the pleasure of working with Super Sucker Hydro Vac Services over the past 6 months, and I must say, I am thankful to have joined the team.

The employees at Super Sucker are dedicated, hardworking, and committed to keeping each other safe.

During my time here, I have witnessed a supportive team culture across the company. Managers encourage open communication and are always seeking ways to improve. This makes Super Sucker a great place to work and grow. 

I am proud to be a part of the Super Sucker team and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a positive and fulfilling work experience.



i havent worked here in years however when i left everything was kept professional and courteous even as i was on my way out they made me still feel like a valued part of the team.  on that point the “team” was a big part of the culture at sshv -back then at least. there was lots of meetings and discussing problems and concerns with everyone to come up with often times ingenious solutions. i learned alot here and although i changed up industries (different equipment) i would and still do recommend sshv to anyone that i know is a hard worker looking for meaningful employment

The people., great group of people.

the deadlines and the managers not caring.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Good group of lower level, and amazing owner Anna. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Great group of people working together to overcome common goals.

If you are going to work at Super Sucker, be prepared to give up your social life during the week. The hours are unpredictable, the scheduling is awful. You find out at 6pm when you start the next day, assuming scheduling gets it done on time. You can be forced into days well over 10 hours and if you refuse a job because you want to work a reasonable shift, you will suffer for it.  Management is incompetent. Communication at all levels is terrible. The company will try to rip you off and not pay you correctly at every opportunity. 

For any person who really values doing good work and continually working toward doing things well, this company is tops! Day to day work is high paced, and full of variety. New challenges are faced as a team in better and better ways all the time. Company culture is about working hard and rewarding hard work. It is a fun company to be a part of and I'm glad I'm here.

Opportunity for growth with the company. 


What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Nothing. It's all about focusing on the job and your duties. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It's ok. They are willing to provide information. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Head in clock in. Check your assignments for the day.... do them... take break... do some more... head home.

While working at Super Sucker I was given the opportunity to try out many different roles. Whether being the second man in one of the hydro vac trucks or operating heavy machinery in the yard; Super Sucker always ensured safety. Super Sucker was excellently run and made an outstanding effort to ensure all employees were safe and looked after.

Lots of senior staff that takes hrs from everyone one else .  You'll work 1 day a week until you reach your 5yr anniversary.  If you want to be home more than working this company is for you. Very inconsistent,  lots of nepotism from supervisors and scheduling.  Seek elsewhere
