There was not much room for advancement as far as I was concerned, Being that my hours were cut substantially and my hourly pay was the bottom of the barrel, It did not seem beneficial to stay with the company. Their culture and values were misplaced alot of the time and their lack of reward for dedication to the company is what swayed my decision on leaving. The hardest part of the job was the travelling, if someone was showing up late to relieve you then your means to travel were slimmed down. For a Safety company it changed from place to place and depended on who was on call alot of the time. There were situations that would have jeopardized my safety due to not keeping up with the maintenance on some of the equipment along with driving after a shift sometimes exceeding the standards of what OH&S has listed along with their own policies that were not enforced. Management itself depended on whatever office you were working out of at the time. It also showed me that it wasn't about what you know but more or less its about who you know. When you find out others started off with a better wage with less experience, its those moments that really draw the lines in the sand on what it is your doing. I can admit that it did give me more experience in the Oil and Gas Industry to a degree, but in order for you to gain more experience you have to be involved with that trade. Safety does teach about the safe work procedures and policies but it did not give you the satisfaction of doing the work itself. Its involvement to the actual work itself was very limited. Alot of the people who wanted to do safety that i've seen have only resorted to it because that is either all that they know, or all that they can do. I've always pushed myself to look for things that are physically demanding as a means to keep me satisfied with the project and satisfied with my daily routine.

Hello, I'm not here bashing this company by any means. But I would like to share my story,
A friend had called saying he got accepted for training at this company and was excited to pursue his career as NCSO. My friend suggested I phone and see if they had any openings as I am in the same line of work. 

I immediately picked up the phone and called them, only to be promised the "best workplace and job setting ever" so naturally. I asked what they're standard rate of pay was only to be told that it was guaranteed to be higher than the wage I was currently making. Granted, me and about 20 others agreed to a 5 day UNPAID indoctrination program where we would be trained on the skills that we would need in this workforce. 
I am a seasoned NCSO, given I usually make 500-700$ per day. After the indoctrination program was complete they stuck everyone with a wage between 18-21$/hr. BS IF YOU ASK ME. I can't believe the greed behind this company. They charge big bucks in a day for you to be there and pocketing all of the profit. Leaving their employees broke making a mcdonalds wage in an oilfield life. 

Not only that but after I had given up work, went to the indoctrination program and promised myself to these people. Me and my colleagues did not hear from them for about two months after for actual work only being promised "you will go out soon". By then I was broke as heck and I had found another job doing the exact same thing that pays double the wage, my advise to anyone looking to join in on this company, phone around to other company's such as Davis safety consulting, Clearwater and Isafety and see exactly what you're worth before you get in-doctored onto money grab that doesn't benefit you what so ever.

I don't have much to say here other then. When the chips where down I got on with Bravo for work. I have been workin straight since the beginning of Sept and when I did get cut I made sure I called dispatch right away and then the next day. I was sent out right away to the next job, it was nights but when the work world is tight one takes what they can. I have my NCSO designation and it keeps me up with my safety at least.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The trainers are great. I didn’t know anything about safety when I started when I left I was an NCSO .

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The job. You have to be on top of your game at all times.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Professional, good group of guys running the place.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Depending on the job could be a easy day or could be very long

When there is lots of work available, Target isn't so bad to work for. The pay is terrible but at least there are benefits. However, when the work is stretched thin, they will lie lie lie lie to get you to take a job. You will be sent 6 hours away from home for a job you are told is for 3 weeks, and when you get there you find out it was only planned as a 5 day job, or a 5 day job is really a 1 day job. This bit me in the butt when I turned down another job because Target promised me tons of work. Yeah. Never again.

Safety is serious business, efficient and well organized company
Long hours, 100 hours a week 7 days a week at times.
Good pay and benefits.
Good training program!
Hazards of the job are real and can kill you (h2s, benzene etc)
Enjoyed the challenges of working outdoors in all kinds of weather and worked self directed at various stages of some of the jobs.

target safety was good for a short period I was used when they had lots of work I was hired on as a Safety Advisor but they did not have enough work for me so I went through the whole safety watch program ERT program and felt I was going backwards in my safety career I departed ways with target after being offered another position in safety with a different company

I worked for Target Safety for about 7 years. I loved working for Target they are a great company who care about there employees. I only had one issue and that was placing people into supervisor positions due to favoritism opposed to for their skill level, qualification or experience.

Provide safety services where required throughout oil or gas plants. Also potential for daily assignments outside of oil and gas plants to other various field locations to help provide safety for other third party workers.

In a typical day at work, We would be maintaining equipment, running the shop, setting up jobs, and tracking trends through documentation.
