TARO PHARMACEUTICALS INC.

Very cheap company . Management  seems to show  huge favourtism to certain people.  Company is behind times as how a good pharmaceutical company should be runned . There is poor planning or very little . Packaging area is often cluttered with totes and other materials making for a chaotic and dangerous work environment , this company seems to over work and under pay their employees. There is very little in terms of incentives, the annual raises are a basically almost zero, newer employees tend to start at a higher rate than people who have more experience and been there for years which causes problems.Their benefits are below industry standards and sick days and vacation days  are good .This company relies on a great numbers of temporary workers instead of hiring full time employees. There's a huge turn over of employees as people get fed up and leave . It's not the worst place to work but definitely not a place one  can build a future. Look elsewhere and don't waste your time or you will be used , exploited and grossly underpaid. 

Worst place to work for! I don't recommend to enemy! 

Few words to describe this department: bullying, dictatorship, stressful environment , disrespectful and unprofessional treatment, lack of training, (sick, ignorant and unknowledgeable) management, retaliation if you speak up for basic rights, layoff for illogical reasons even if you are hard working person, favoritism, Unreasonable time for heavy workload, Negative feedback and performance even if you are one of the best chemist in the department. 

It used to be good place to work for. However, after new management came, it turned to worst place to work for. 

Honestly without exaggeration, if you want to get heart attack, get sick and stressful, lose hair and have grey hair, join this department

Typical day at work:
- hectic at times,
What I have learned:
- something new every day (new skills, human skills, new
techniques, managing people, etc.).
Management:
- typical (the bad and the good, so to speak)
- management are usually considerate.
- no (extreme) pressure came from my boss.
- friendly (could sometimes "loose" their human skills.
Hardest part of the job:
- dealing with people (i.e. many different characters and
the "monday morning blues".
Most enjoyable part of the job:
- being left alone to do my job (i.e. my boss did not watch over my
shoulders because he trusted me).
- getting challenging assignments.

This place is mismanaged from the top down. Most managers are not familiar with the department they manage. It almost seems HR runs the show. Do what I say attitude. narrow minded. No opportunity for advancement unless your a relative of someone in a higher position. Complete disregard for safety. Not allowed to have opinion. The place runs like a sweat shop. everyone unhappy. they had a internal survey, Canada finished last in employee satisfaction. Nothing was changed. Violations in GMP are numerous. Only a matter of time before regulators catch on. Use caution if employed here. Be prepared to loose your self dignity. Try to look for a new position elsewhere as soon as you start here.
They need to reorganize HR. They need to get ride of its director. Would be a good start. GOOD LUCK! you will need it.

What is the best part of working at the company?
It is a genetic company with well established process and procedures 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Regarding stress, the work load is similar to any other pharmaceutical company. 
Nothing particular about stress at work place

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Favoritism and nepotism 
Possibly similar culture in any pharma company located in GTA, New Jersey other other places with the work forces that can be exploited 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Similar to any other pharma company.
Occasionally last minute schedule change but it is the nature of the business

Horrible company, no rules, no safety &   expect you to do everything without any practical training. Training only on paper & computer. Can fire you any time without notice & explanation. Everybody complains about the worse management. Never  recommends anybody to go there. No future.Better to work somewhere else.

Company is run by a bunch of cheap, pretentious has-beens that need to roll over and make room for a faster, more competent generation; half of those that are reading this don't even know what pretentious means.
 
Ongoing projects are run by inexperienced management, carried on the backs of hardworking, underpaid, overworked people.

Companies like this are exactly why pharma is dying.

They provide you with unexpected timelines, lack of communication. Finger pointing at its finest.
Only work here if you have no other option. They are unwilling to make any type of changes, they need to clean up house and bring fresh people in 

Every year like clock work there are massive firing without rhyme or reason. This company doesn't appreciate talent. Once you get in your talent is stifled and you are overworked.

Working in compounding department as compounder
Is nightmare in this company, never treat as employees 
And floor will be managing by person who doesn’t know how to treat with people. Worst place to work
