At the beginning at the job hiring information day the individual stated that they had employees that worked up to 45 hours per week.  Training with the TTC was quite informative, the following day, the TBM training, was quite informative,spoke of Labour Laws and Human Rights.
Bottom line if you want regular full-time work this is not the place you would want to work for.  If you want to be on a on call basis then perhaps this is the place for you.
As a person who really WANTS full-time and wanted to be apart of a working team TBM was not the company I thought it to be.  I offered in my time of availability and worked only 3 days within a 10 day period.  Would send emails to the management team and I would get reassuring messages back stating I would be working.  
Presently they are working to get a contract with the airport and they are still hiring.  Upon speaking with other employees who have been there for awhile, 2 years, I hear things like, "it's not what it used to be like."
This company offered a lot of hope and promises.  Honestly, TBM is a lot of hot air.

a typical job at work is when you arrive early, met and orientated by the supervisor, who explain about the job a head in detail, introduces you to other staff  and also encourages team work, and there is safety and security for everyone. shifts are shared or given fairly and there is work station rotation and  breaks given in a timely manner. also lunch is given in a timely manner and time allocated in advance.I love to work with friendly enthusiastic people, meeting new people and assisting clients when required to.hardest time is when the weather is bad and i am asked to work outside maybe in the rain or directly in the son. i have learned to be patient and to persevere util change arrives. most enjoyable part is when clients or customers are happy with my assistance or intervention.

The company demonstrates a strong commitment to delivering quality products and services while maintaining a customer-centric approach. Employees are generally supportive, and the work environment encourages collaboration and continuous learning. Management communicates expectations clearly, although there may be occasional gaps in feedback and recognition. Work-life balance can vary depending on the role and workload, but efforts are made to promote flexibility. Compensation and benefits are competitive within the industry, though there is room for improvement in certain areas. With stronger internal communication and more structured career progression, it has the potential to become an even more rewarding workplace for its employees.

I not talking about TBM service group as a whole, just AAS(airport aviation services). They manage wheelchairs at the airport and drive the golf carts. I'm going to try to be fair here. It is not a good place to work period. I know people need jobs but trust me you are better off working for McDonald's. Just to summarize because I don't want to make a wall of text.

The management:
They are okay sometimes, mostly rude but okay. They don't care about you. The older guys chase and chase the young vulnerable women
The work:
To much work, its not worth the humiliation honestly. If your hardworking they will push you further, if your lazy they enable it. Minimum wage(if your applying dont go to core, go to prm)
The benefits:
They are okay



I was very much touched by the dedicated workers / coworkers working as a Customer Services Representative at the TBM Services Group.

The work is very light. I didn't have to life up anything other than helping commuters with their shopping bags, strollers and languages up and down the stairs once a while.  However, the job was very demanding of full attention to details and be mentally aware of the large volume of traffic on the road and people from all kinds of places.   I was standing 8 to 10 hours through the entire work shift and was willing to provide help as much as possible immediately.

The pay was min. wage and it is a vacational position.

The work place is good but the management is horible. It is a unianized environment but it is very difficult to deal with the management. If you talk about your rights or fight for the rights the management would come after you and try to revenge. At last they would purposly put you in a trouble and even the union would not be able to mediate the issue. I had to fight for the  COVID protocalls of the workers and they tried to put me in trouble several times. The Union send them warning letters and saved me but they escaped from the investigation through a well planed insident. 

Working at TBM was an amazing experience since they work in collaboration with the Toronto Transit Commission. Since we were working at TTC garages and this gave me an opportunity to learn about how the buses work and mange its day to day activities such as fueling and regular oil checks and manage the hygiene of the buses. This is a multi cultural workplace just like Canada it self, we have employees from all over such as Romania, Sri Lanka, India, Jamaica and more. The management of the work place was very supportive which made difficult jobs easier.

I am working in this company in the area of ​​customer service in the TTC since May the best of this job is my manager is a very kind person with all the coworkers the pay is good but the working hours are very reduced no  there is almost work it is only on weekends work is very easy it is just standing several hours is a good start for those who want to start a career within the TTC 


permanent position after several years of experience

- receive emails from dispatch which TTC station you will be responsible for that day
- arrive at station with 5-20 others (depending on how busy the station is)
- direct TTC riders to alternate subway/RT routes due to closures
- act as a first responder in case of an emergency

The hardest part of work is when I am responsible for ensuring successful execution of new contract expansion and reducing company operation cost.The performance of these duties are directly related to the company performance both operational-wise and financial-wise. These are also the most enjoyable part of the job when I successfully deliver the result.
