TBT Engineering

TBT Engineering was a fun and fast-paced work environment.  There were always opportunities to engage with different divisions and learn from each other.  The employee engagement, or extra-curricular events are second to none; from Broomball Leagues to Staff parties, Soccer team sponsorship, and more.  Typical workdays begin at 8:30am and end at 5:00pm.  There is occasional necessity to work on weekends; but Leadership places a high value on work-life balance.

Lots of work is available and they keep you working through the winters. There are too many managers and lots of bouncing people around though, miscommunication happens very often. Contract based work in an engineering firm means no benefits or vacation time for up to 2 years. Not the most ideal place to work unless you're an engineer.

After working there several years, I have learned alot from the experienced staff and enjoyed my job as a surveyor. It was always a new location or new job so it kept things pretty fresh, and always learned something new everyday. Pay was okay, definitely could be better, and management doesn't communicate great but overall good work experience.

TBT Engineering is a brilliant company to work for, has great staff functions and provides ample opportunity to grow and professionally develop.
Downside is, the company is not very organized and planning/ scheduling is almost non existing. Communication is not had involving people on the design end into affairs such as budget and hours spent.

Head of geomatics Is the most disorganized person I have ever met, let alone manager. Looking for plans upside down with shoe prints on it was my first experience with this backwater company. Nepotism and racism run rampant throughout the field staff and management. All in all they should be disgraced. 

this is a very good place to work. Good co workers and management. I recommend anyone to work here. I hope to go back one day and obtain employment and retire there. after i completed my electrical engineering diploma,

Nice environment to work and pleased to have been a team member. The friendly staff and many employee gatherings makes the workplace an enjoyable one and happy to be there each day.

Great Company to work for. They really believe in training employees to ensure they are ready and capable to complete the jobs that TBTE may ask of them.

Great place to work, I was always treated well. Salary is less than the average and lots of out of town work though. Pleasant coworkers and overall friendly atmosphere

Great place to work, very good people. Work was enjoyable and compensation fair. Colleagues generally worked together well, great sense of teamwork. Loved it.
