Former employee with 10+ years. It was much better when I started under Meloche Monnex but things went downhill when TD bought us.
TD was determined to run the insurance side like the banking side. 
Very little job autonomy here as team leaders had to approve everything; too much micromanagement; management ran the call centre like a daycare; weekly coaching sessions were mandatory; lots of stress to hit sales targets, # of calls per day, etc. Too many employees are off on short term disability due to job related stress! Glad I am no longer working here! Not a fun place to work at!

It’s great working environment. It’s fast paced, customer oriented, on the phone job as this is a call Center. One has to be knowlagable to cater to clients insurance needs ,access each and every risk. It’s a rewarding experience working at TD Insurance Meloche Monnex that is now know as TD Insurance Direct Agency Inc. as the company recently changed its name from being a Brokerage  to an Agency. Lost of opportunities to grow within the company and also able to move to TD bank financial department or TD Waterhouse as well.

The main duty is to provide clients with legendary customer service, when they call to get a new quote or to make changes to existing policies. As a Loyalty Specialist, I am also responsible for dealing with clients' complains about premium increase and retaining the business under risk of cancelling. It requires strong communication skills with ability to built personal connection with any types of clients and deep knowledge of product and ability to explain policies' coverage. It feels great, when I am able to turn a frustrated client to a happy client and to keep existing or to bring new business to the Company.

I come into work to find 2-4 pages of work activites that are mandatory to complete, when we're unable to complete it, it is mandatory for us to move these activities to a maximum of 5 days.  Oh, and activites are supposed to be moved if they fall on a Statutory Holiday and your vacation days.  Can anyone see the annoyance and redundency of moving these activities?  

Too much pressure to perform.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Vacation, do have opportunity to have a bonus and raise each year 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The workload they expect you to get done in 7.5 hour shifts with no offered overtime. Expect you to complete everything without the extra pay

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Favouritism, not inclusive, just a number taking up a desk 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful with no support from management. Training is absolutely horrible managers don’t even know what they’re doing

- Manager of a newly created team that was responsible for developing sales reports (reach/quote/closing);
- Worked closely with various departments (Actuarial, Finance, Accounting, Operations, IT, Direct Marketing, Communications, Affinity Market, etc.);
- Part of the team that developed a campaign management system;
- Part of the team responsible for the automated dialer.

Management is a bit strict and micromanages after a while when at first they act fake nice. But the coaches are really helpful and friendly. The work is remote and easy. The call volume isn’t overwhelming but the training is rough at first and really learn on the job. Everyone works cluelessly at the beginning then becomes a pro after a month. Unionized environment so no negotiations for salary.

The pay is low comparison to industry standard and the work load  is a lot . There is little room for advancement, actually no promotion . Flexible work options ,  work from home but have to be in office once a week , vacations are 3 weeks to start , 5 personal days , benefits are health and dental but there is a $50 deductible for each prescription and the benefits is costly . 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Benefits are decent. Pension is also nice.

Work load and being micromanaged so bad it takes a toll on the mental health.

Everyone is friendly for the most part .

Over work and under paid, so horrible

Compassionate and Caring work environment.  Good Management. I enjoyed my time working with them. Good Training. Had to move as i wanted to gain more experience in all kinds of adjusting. Would not have been possible without becoming a licensed independent adjuster.
