I worked with TForce Logistics as an independent delivery contractor, and my overall experience was positive. The onboarding process was straightforward, and they provided clear instructions and support during the initial days. Their app and routing system are user-friendly, which helped streamline daily deliveries and maintain efficiency.

One of the biggest advantages was the flexibility — being able to set my own schedule and choose preferred delivery blocks made it easier to balance personal and work life. The pay was fair, especially when routes were optimized and during high-demand periods. However, some days could be unpredictable depending on volume and location, and fuel/vehicle maintenance costs are something to factor in as a contractor.

Communication with dispatch was generally smooth, and the local management team was approachable and helpful when issues arose. Like many logistics companies, it can get hectic during peak seasons, but with good time management, it's manageable.

Overall, TForce Logistics is a solid option for those looking for independent delivery work with a decent level of autonomy and steady opportunities.

I work here at markham warehouse, there are things that no one understands why they must be done in that way. I come everyday to work but I don't understand why the routes must have to be dispatched from Brampton when you can clearly see people sitting at Dispatch desk doing literally nothing. I have been in transportation industry for almost 10 years but have never seen a supervisor stopping his subordinates to Dispatch. Earlier there was no problem with Dispatching routes but just because of the laziness of one person the whole system is changed. This issue of inefficient way of Dispatching routes needs to be addressed or else people will give up working at this location. Moreover you don't have any right to waste 4 hours of drivers time everyday or atleast 2 hours in the morning and 1.5 hours in the evening, which can be easily utilized in delivering packages. You never listen to the driver's plea but atleast look at the condition of the warehouse and analyze yourself.

Work is neither reliable nor promised, some days are busy and some days are very quiet, high level of favouritism is being practiced, targetted and forced warnings and write ups are just a part of normal process. Have to deal with under trained and inefficient supervisory staff with no understanding of work procedures. Dealing with overwhelmed and confused dispatch is another issue that haven't be resolved since ages. On a regular basis you are forced to waste atleast 2 to 3 hours without getting any compensation. This place really needs some willing and skilled staff at a supervisory level who can atleast take a minimum responsibility of their assigned job. Once you load up and out of the warehouse you won't be left with enough time to finish your deliveries and will cause you an undue stress on road for the rest of your day. Sorry but I have nothing good to share about this company.

Poor management, great potential but no interest in protecting the hand that feeds them. Untrained corporate staff, very sad!!
All local staff worked extremely hard for this ungrateful company then it was sold to Transforce in December 2016 at which time they elected to discontinue servicing many accounts during the transition which resulted in many layoffs. What's left of this company will soon be discussion over cold beer and peanuts....probably gone by September 2018 when the banks (Symcor) contract comes up for renewal. Communication with corporate and local office management was non-existent!!!They finally got rid of the major contributor to the dissension from head office but it was too little and too late. Left a lot of unhappy clients and workers in the lurch.

My day commenced at 8:00-8:30 with retrieval of the days items (bank Bags etc.) for the days deliveries. My day, in most instances, ended at roughly 18:00 with the days bank bags being loaded for air transport to Vancouver.
I learned all there is to know about courier process with this company, most of it needs serious attention to detail and communication.
Management is a disaster.....POOR! Very difficult to perform to my desired standards.
Co-workers were great, but handicapped as was I.
The hardest part was getting timely answers to concerns, missed pay (serious), day to day dealings with alleged management and constant lies. The pressure as a result of poor management was bad.
The pay was better than average and co-workers were great.

The people you work with are not so bad but its the upper mgt that you need to watch out for. They make promises then make up some excuse why it can't happen. If they find out that something is going good and making the crew happy to work there, they go out of there way to put a stop to it right quick. They brought me into the office part time and told me that as soon as there was enough work that I would be hired permanent full time. Once there was enough work they went and hired someone off the street without it being ok'd by the manager working there. Didn't say anything to me. This person just showed up one day to take over the work I had been doing. 

Whatever time period you decide to begin your workday, we would collect the parcels to be delivered for that day, collect our assignment and then load the parcels into our own vehicles. As the title states, this job is definitely for someone who enjoys controlling their own hours. The people you interact with at the warehouse are friendly too. The hardest part of working is definitely the weather conditions as driving in the snow, especially in communities where the snow was not shovelled or salted as well as driving in the rain. The most enjoyable part of the job was seeing how happy people would be when they received their packages as well as seeing familiar faces when you frequented a certain area.

I received a numerous amount of satisfaction from customers and business. We were always very respectful and fun loving. 
Management refused to supply a written and signed contract so when I broke my are early last year I was lead to believe by management that If I gave my contract to my spare driver I would most definately have a new contract when I was ready to return to work. That to this day has not happened!
Working with the majority of my co-workers for the most part has always been a wonderful experience. The hardest part of the job was fitting all the coolers in my van ( over 30 most of the time).
The most enjoyable part was seeing smiles on customers faces when they received their medications, such great friendlyness..

I worked for AC Final mile for 6 yrs, it was called ALL CANADIAN COURIER and was managed by professionals. Once purchased by
Trans Force it became " just a company " There is no personal touch.
It's all about the money. In my case ....I was moved to a warehouse to
care for one of All Canadian Courier largest customers. I had no back up or other staff support. I was given this task by All Canadian Courier Vice President because he trusted me, and knew of my ability to perform. I handled this on my own for 20 months. Then when Trans Force took over they re established the location to a warehouse that was much to small to handle this time sensitive and important customer needs. I worked in access of 20 hrs per day. At the end it did not matter.

Experience from an owner operator perspective

Management is selfish, they won't care if your car is broke, if you're sore or if you have an emergency and need to travel for a week, you're out!
During peak summer, halloween, black friday, christmas you make decent money, but no life, 14hrs long journey and you better be ready for some more until it's done, usually from november to early january you have no rest.
From january until mid summer you starve with $3k/month, if you survive it, forget about minimum pay, they will always find an excuse to not pay you.
Dispatcher and manager are best friends, they will always be against you and treat you like a dog.
