I worked for residents about 8 months, one day I  helped some to play some activities, sharing stores together, I fed 2 residents during lunch and then went to the garden with the resident. I learned how to be patience and careful wile I'm working and how to work with a group and create a communication with people. It was important to manage my time with each resident to done more work in short time. I used to work with the co-workers watch them what they are doing ask them about some residents. I worked with them as helper of residents, deliver drinks for residents in parties, sale stuff in garage sale. The hardest part of the job was that I always must be careful most the time I have to listen to what the resident want me to do for them what it makes them feel good sometimes I have to talk with them for long time or some want me to take them for a walk and read stories for them some asked me to bring them back to their rooms after lunch and dinner time and some used to send me to bring them any thing they need. So I must deal with all of those residents and always smile with them and make them feel welcome and happy. My most enjoyable part of the job was when I used to see the residents happy and  satisfied with what I'm doing for them.

I can say with the team work  in this company all the stressful part is conquered.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Activities of Daily living, doing most activities the resident can’t do for themselves. Providing care care with passion

Lots of bullies. They have hired the wrong people to work. Most of them are bullies. Supervisors are resentful and favouritism is very transparent. They only favour their friends and do not really care if they are providing good care to the residents. The environment is very stressful. They are fault-finders and some of their employees feel that they are supervisors when in fact they are not. I think the environment is not conducive to growth and there is no harmonious working relationships among staff.  Everybody is suspicious. Not a good working environment.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Humber heights is the best, well organized, is the best place to work.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part is eager to learn more, because you will be challenged with the people you work with, makes you to learn more.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is best, calm, spacious and EIA inclined evironment.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Everyday at Humber heights is day to learn new things from the management and the senior team members.

A typical day at work is getting clients out of bed and making sure their daily needs are met. I learned that every person is different and therefore you have to treat them accordingly. The workplace is manage in a professional maner and is very multicultural. The hardest part of my job was heavy lifting. The most enjoyable part of my job is when i do something for a client and see the smile on their face and i know i have done my best to make them happy.

Busy in the morning. Less activity in the afternoon

Terrible management.. Always after the people who work hardest and the slackers get away with anything. Always being pressed to do the work. Always short staffed. Expect to work by yourself on most day they can't find anyone to work. Most staff have another job and they will go to their next job with better pay and less stress. 

Always Willing to help and support those people who are in need of help like seniors especially elderly struggling with Alzheimer's and Dementia, children and people leaves in Developmental disabilities 

Management and supervisors look down on PSWs. Extremely toxic environment. On paper their corporate values are good but once you step foot on the organization it feels like you're walking on a tightrope. People are suspicious and a lot of bullying happens.
