THE VILLAGE OF RIVERSIDE GLEN

Working here is an absolute dread. Expect to have the slowest work days on earth, management expects you to stretch 5-minute tasks throughout an entire 8 hour shift. No warm welcoming from the staff, they are a clique that will talk about you behind your back. Nothing like getting yelled at by some old lady because you used cleaner on her mahogany wood table that you weren't told about by OTHER HOUSEKEEPING STAFF. They are also often snobby. The only good thing about working here is that you are almost alone basically the entire shift so its easy to get away from all the annoyance. The manager also was never around, you could easily have a 2 hour break and nobody cared. Very poor on there part.

Once you punch in your time card, you go to your department assigned.  Once everyone fir the shift is there, the Charge Nursr holds a startup meeting, which Includes updates, I.e., new residents, their conditions and needs, changes in the department, residents who are sick and require extra care.  Assignments for each person and all questions are addressed before we start the shift.  Training is done in-house, people are assigned to 10 people, rules are reviewed, and we have a question period, all before we start the shift.

The rate of pay and benefits package is just not overly satisfying at all..... The management somewhat needs to get there things together.

A Retirement and Long Term Care Facility that assists both Seniors and Disabled Residents in an open and caring environment from health care to dining to recreational activities. What makes it more than a fancy building but a home is the tight-knit teamwork and compassionate nature of the staff working there

Although my experience working at Riversides Glen was brief, it was a very positive work environment. With the team at Riverside Glen always learning and researching how to better provide for their employees and residents, the continuous growth of the company is encouraging understanding that they want to be able to go above and beyond for their team.

The best thing about my job, is the fact that it does not feel like a job. I wake up in the morning and feel like I am going to spend my day with my "family." I feel like I have 300 adoptive grandparents. They are the reason that I love what I do and they teach me so much about myself and life in general each and every day! :)

This is the worst company I’ve ever worked for.  They say they have a family oriented environment.  They care more about the money made than the residents or employees.  If they don’t like you, your life will be miserable while working until you quit so they don’t have to pay you severance pay.

Great team work! I was amazed with the all the employees how they work together. They give extra bonus points for people who always comes for back up and also at the same time all employees were trained to get that extra mile of hardworking to support other department. This is awesome.

Good place to work, lots of hours, coordinators can be difficult at times.  Not enough staff, working short often but team members are great and work hard together.  Some amazing nurses there that are always willing to help out.
