Management is disorganized and stuck in outdated ways of thinking, making poor decisions that often create confusion and inefficiency. They frequently make promise whether about promotions, pay raises, processes, or improvement that never come to life.

The company runs three shifts, but it feels like each one operates as a completely different business, with little to no communication or consistency across them. There’s a serious lack of alignment and direction from leadership. The pay structure is completely outdated, doesn’t value the work that each employee puts in.

That said, the supervisors are genuinely supportive, and the workers on the floor are some of the best ever worked with. Unfortunately, their efforts are constantly undercut by poor upper management and pay structure. If the leadership doesn’t evolve, the company will continue to struggle no matter how hard the people on the ground work.

Avoid this place if you’re looking for career growth and fair compensation.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The privilege of being Day Shift.  Safe surroundings and  abundant work gloves .[ ppe ]. 
Noise levels good and tidy factory floor at T-6 Weld shop. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Automation and parts requirements change .I'm sure machine foot prints 
have changed.  I've been away 4 years. I was very content at Theta,  a job  
I did not think about during leisure time .

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Air quality is good, nice to have A/C  in summer . Lots of room to enjoy lunch outside . A family company ; management doors are always open to input  
from employees . A friendly team work culture .

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I give my company a good days work for a reasonable rate of pay. Pizza Fridays were something to look forward to .Amen.

Show up to work, clock in, then login to your job by computer. Toolroom is organized and clean. While working supervisor is not hovering but does check in with what you're doing. Other employees from same and other departments are mostly friendly. Occasionally hear grumbling of management and how things are not organized properly. If any problems come up, other's will step up and help if possible. Casual conversation during work hour's is not frowned upon.  

Overall good company to work for. Very flexible if things come up in your personal life. Good group of people to work with. Decent perks like summer bbq, kids xmas party, etc. Competitive pay and benefits, and reliable 2% annual raise, but incredibly hard to get any more than that, even if your skill level has increased. Great place to learn if you're starting out and could even be there a long time if it's for you, but if you're looking for recognition and compensation for what you've learned and grown, might have better luck somewhere else.

Working for Theta TTS was a great experience. People were nice and it was a small family atmosphere which I enjoyed. Management treat their employees with respect and if you work hard and want to learn more their is lots of room for advancement. Also they do company picnics, golf, Christmas parties for Adults and the kids and other fun events. Overall a great company to work for.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Nothing. I definitely do not recommend. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The people that work there. Management is a joke.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Not good. Everyone complains too much.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very stressful having to do everything everyone else doesn't do and gets away with it.

Production members are helpful and work well together for the most part.  Most Supervisors are hands on and help staff when needed.
Team building activities between management, tool room and production staff would be beneficial, as there seems to be a disconnect there. 
The days of one big happy family are gone.


Theta has the opportunity to become one of Barrie's best companies but struggles with lack of experience and training. Unfortunately for Glen the company owner and President he has a very large group of management that lack experience and training witch results in a very disorganized manufacturing plant.

CEO needs to have some courage and stand up to his managers and start believing more of what his workers are saying about operations 
  
Also pretty sad when one employee gets a better raise than another with a way worse attendance record  CEO does not stand by his word on attendattendance

Worst management team I have ever encountered. It’s hard to have a positive attitude and mindset with the atmosphere the upper management team and production team have created.
