The people on the floor working are amazing. A few of the MA’s a great people. They work is very easy, cause be stressful at times when having to get orders done. Machining can be stressful when things don’t go smooth, but time flys.
 They rotate all 3 shifts, 1 week each shift! They claim they follow the MAD rotation, but they absolutely do not. One week you’ll be on midnights, next afternoons, then back to midnights! It’s never ending! Very inconsistent. Since starting there, I have yet to work/follow MAD rotation. It’s rather annoying when your lead to believe that’s what you follow. It’s hard to deal with the inconsistency of scheduling, can’t make apts, or have to worry about kids being watched when you never know what shift you’ll be on the next week. You literally can’t plan your life when working here. You can switch shifts with someone but that doesn’t always work out. You get paid weekly which is a good, paid lunch break, Pay is decent finally. Mandated OT for Days and midnights. Sometimes it gets called off though. 
It’s a unionized factory. 
If you like having a life outside of work, I’d suggest other places to work. Otherwise if your a work-a-holic this place is for you. 

First of all it is a pretty small company and little stuff (2 or 3 workers and supervisor), so it wasn't that busy, unless a few days.

A typical day at work is shipping and receiving, driving forklift (Loading, Off-loading), picking, packing, and cutting the product through the cutting machine (It is old and unsafe).

No workplace culture at all, and the management is not professional and does not appreciate the work at all.

The conditions of safety are not applied at work.

The workplace is not healthy in the summer and does not have cooling, and this is contrary to the instructions of the Ministry of Labor in Ontario.

I do not recommend working in this place except for the utmost necessity, if you only need money, otherwise, there is no future in this work.

Easy job as a shipper in my opinion plus its never really busy, if it does get a bit busy you have other people to help you

There are heavy things to lift as they deal with medal products but it doesnt get busy so its not like your lifting for hours

The only bad thing is that its very slow paced so there are times where you have nothing to do for 45mins-hours or you will be told to do "petty" work things only so that you look busy for the owners/management. If your only looking for a pay check this is a good place, if you are looking to be advanced in a company I would not recommend working here its very DEAD-END

Theres also not much chance for a promotion due to there being a small amount of workers theres not many positions to fill nor replace.

Good product and local team, committed leadership from Japan.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
None really. One senior leader was really disorganized and not really a people person. Very condescending and obnoxious at times.

Nice environment, good production team, including supervisors and managers

Typical day in automotive manufacturing, busy with constant issues.

-Fast paced work with a lot of breakdowns

-Learned to work as a team. Many employees have been here 20+ years and are very knowledgeable

-Management constantly makes decisions that are beneficial for the short term, but poor for the long term

-Morale isn't what it used to be and employees don't trust management. There isn't even a Christmas party anymore

-Plant managers keep leaving or are replaced

-Pays fairly well if you are willing to work overtime on the weekends

Great place to work. Been a large employer in Niagara for many many years.

Being part of the auto industry

Good environment for all employees 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
7 to 3 work solid work. Honest living.

I machined a ball stud all day long,  management all male oriented for the most part, a lot of different back grounds, hardest part of the job was that you were expected to always train new people constantly while everyone is making a different wage and you don't get a training wage to train people like team leaders get, best part of the job was break when I could sit in the break room and listen to everyone gossip .lol

This company just locked out 300 employees because they don't want to negotiate a contract with the collective. During a global pandemic they locked us out of work! 
If this an indication of how they plan on treating their labor i recommend you stay well away from this place. There are other factories to work at

I spent 6 years here and it was the best 6 years of my working life. From the M.As to the team leader and to the cool team members on the floor I was treated like family. You were in close contact with all the big boys, some in the light hearted moments would even have fun and joke around with you and make the experience and everyday you went to work fun and enjoyable. 

Unprofessional upper management with a complete lack of communication from the top. Supervisors are good, but incompetent management never does what it says it will do.  HR Manager actually assaults a Supervisor and still remains. On what planet would this lack of professional behaviour be allowed?!  At least the pay is above average because of union shop.
