THRIFTLODGE

We were very productive when we worked. We did everything to code. We kept our regulars extreamly happy and we were highly recomended to a lot of potential costumers. We had an enjoyable environment to work in.

We were a family. We would laugh and cry I'd say we had the perfect team. When i say' we' I mean there was five cleaning ladies including myself. The girls I worked with were the greatest. They were helpful and understanding, paitent and thoughtful.

Our manager at the time was the reason we all got up in the morning. She was the best. We had the best boss at the time then the current owner bought them out and well since then he's lost the best employees that company has ever had. He pushed us all away.

The hardest part of the job was having to quit but, I had no choice . Carrying the laundry bags that were full of wet towles and bedding was hard and heavy but, once I got used to it I was good to go. We had to work outside all year long, so in the winter pushing the carts through the snow was tough but we pushed through it.

The most enjoyable part of this all was when we walked out of every room I was leaving knowing that costumers had clean bedding and the room was cleaned to perfection.

This job was a hard one. I started out as a housekeeper and worked my way up to front desk, then executive housekeeper. I loved working the front desk, my co-workers were awesome and taught me alot. When we first started with soft hotel we had a person come to hotel and taught us everything about the program. I did all the different shifts, including the audit. I really enjoyed the peace of that shift. When the hotel was sold and changed hands, new owner gave me more responablity than I think I was able to handle which eventually lead to me being let go. He said I just wasn't what he was looking for. He wanted someone that could do it all, I wasn't trained to do all of that, I wanted to take extra computer training for excel and stuff but he wasn't willing to help with that.

It may have changed but when I worked there, they had young men in the management position and they were not very good at promoting a healthy non toxic work environment. Staff turnover was ridiculous as there was always a staff shortage putting more work on those that did show up. I got really sick when working there and was off for over a week (doctor recommended) and then a few months later there was a major ice rain storm and I called to tell then I wasn't willing to put my life at risk to drive from the country to there. That afternoon the  management team called and fired me, said I was unreliable.  I have  EVWR  been fired from a job in my life. They didn't not value their staff members at all!

this was one of the worst jobs I ever had. It was also the first job I accepted that wasn't unionized. This company scared me away from jobs not protected by union. The management was one of the worst I've ever seen. It was a minimal wage job with a paid lunch and no other breaks allowed. Doesn't matter if you work 6 hours or 12. At the end of the work day, you could be handed another sheet of rooms to do and expected to stay until finished. There wasn't a clean sheet in the house and 1 working washer and dryer. With the exception of management, the rest of the employees were great. I saw 14 people quit within the three months I was there.

Working at thriftlodge is really great opportunity. I develop my management skill. I also develop my accountability, I learn office duties like accountant, data entry, greeting customers etc...
Management of the place is great and very friendly. My co-workers are very helpful and friendly. The hardest part of the job is deal with angry customers, we need to much passion for this and I manage very well. The most enjoyable part of the job is when customers personally appreciate our hospitality. Although it is a great place for work. Thank you.

i loved working at thriftlodge . ive learned how to make beds and etc. my co-workers were friendly and we'd have fun while doing our jobs, i dont think there wasnt any hard part to my jod, i really enjoyed working as a housekeeper. co-workers complimented me that i was very good fast worker and perfectionist.

working here has been fun, although the hours are minimal. I am currently upgrading at Northern college to attend school next year in the office administration course. for now, I am looking for anything full time.

I worked hard and fast but it was a good time 😊 housekeeping position is never easy and is far the most unappreciated job ever but I will say it was still a decent place to work, as long as you can take a little heat

Most enjoyable part of the job is knowing the guests where happy with their rooms.

My experience is not good . I worked there for over 3 weeks and still did not get paid and I'm still waiting on that.  Over 60 hours.
I am not interested in ever going back
