With close to 20 years experience in my field with various employers, I can, without doubt, say that TMX is the most horrible place to work. During the year that I worked there, I saw so many people come and go do to firing. I recall seeing two of the senior HR people laughing when a long-term employee got very emotional when she heard she was fired.

They required a number of individuals in a certain department for three month contracts but they knew that "good" people wouldn't commit for only three months so they wrote the contracts for one year terms and then still let the people go after three months.

Saw many people being escorted out by Security. Heard many, many stories from others who had friends or friends of friends that worked there and were fired. AVOID.

It is the largest capital marketplace in Canada. It has over 80% of the total trading market share.Management is very efficient. Senior executives pay attention to what employees think and need. Employees are nice and professional. Some of them are very diligent and work overtime almost everyday.Employees share knowledges with each other, which can make the performance of the whole team better and better. It is a good place to work for.

Debug systems and identify issues quickly and effectively by analyzing metrics
•	Interact with external technical support groups, vendors, and internal business to manage problems through to resolution
•	Proactively identify problem areas for the team both technically and procedurals and recommend improvements
•	Identify system resource bottlenecks and work with other teams to test and tune systems for optimal performanc

Avoid unless you like bad managers, lousy co-workers, mediocre pay and no opportunity for advancement.  Had the misfortune of having both the worst manager of my working career and the worst co-worker I've ever had.  No room for career growth there.  If you want to move up, you have to leave for another company.  Pay is brutal and the hours were rough.  Not what I thought it would be.  On a positive note, a couple of my co-workers were nice but all wound up leaving the company to advance their careers.

The work culture is brilliant here. I enjoyed working the team that was so supportive and encouraging. I would give a big shout out to my boss, who kept the team together as a whole. The best manager anybody could have to work with, honestly. and having to work with my manager has made my expectations very high about managers and good management skills. 

TMX Is a great company to work with. 

The organization had gone through a lot of change and had a lot of potential but the silos and internal politics created an unnecessary culture of fear, lack of trust, hidden agendas and a complete lack of collaboration.  It truly has some phenomenal people working there who will do great things for the company if they are able to somehow navigate the labyrinth.

The people are very good to work with. The Company strives to create an inclusive environment. Teams are given the opportunity to speak up and communicate. Ideas are respected. 

So I worked as a cybersecurity analyst co-op at TMX Group. Started with a basic recruiter phone call, and got set up for an interview. The interview lasted for like 30 mins. Purely technical interview. After starting the co-op, first couple of weeks would be going through the documents but after that there is not much to do. You have to ask your team to give you work.

Looks great in concept but a horrible place to work.  A Political nightmare.  Backstabbing, Incompetence, total disregard for shareholder resources.  Managers and Executives feel entitled.  Nothing every gets done there.  It takes a meeting to decide on what the next meeting is on.  Stay away.  There are better places to work.
