No consistent training was provided to me during my probationary period. They seem to be too busy to train all their new employees even though it wasnt busy or dont know how to manage their time well or are just negligent. It's quite clear that Management and Leads have their favorite employees which provides a toxic work culture within the Beverage department and they will let you go for no legitimate reason only after a week and a half with hardly any traning. Bottom line is they discriminate against people based on their looks and mannerisms. 

I have been with this company for 4 years now, if you enjoy working independently and with minimal contact with your boss, this is the best job. I have met 2 of my supervisors and they do come check on your work without a heads up but if you do your job properly, that is not an issue. Very good pay and if you are a hard worker, you can finish your 2-13 hours, depending on contract in half the time but still get paid the same. Only complaint I have is that the orders are regularly late and yourand it is sometimes hard to work around customers but other than that, top notch job and supervisor are very accommodating and nice.

As long as you finish the job on the required day you can come in whenever you're able (great if you have a second job) and they pay you the same number of hours no matter how long it takes.  So if you're fast and can get done in two hours and the set hours for your job is three, you'll still get paid for three.  But if it's a large load and it takes you 4 hours to finish you have to stay 'til it's done.

I have 4 stores 3 of which are very busy,  my supervisor worked and trained me until I was knowledgeable and confident on every aspect of the job, she is very supportive to all her employees. I work very hard to keep everything fresh, it's a demanding job with a lot of physical aspects.but it is rewarding to see your work.  The only downfall I would have is it takes more hours than  budgetd that being said my supervisor visit all her stores and does understand that this can happen.

Overall, working for TNG is an "ok" job.  Nothing that is exciting or makes you want to get up and go to work.  
The main reason for that is the antiquated thought process of the management team.  They are stuck in their ways how you had to think 10-15 years ago.  They have not changed to a more modern way of thinking/handling their roles and have not embraced newer technology to drive the business goals to a reality.

TNG was a great company to work for. You basically once you are trained are on your own with the job. You would be able to come in and do what is required of you during that day. You were able to divide up our work load from one day to the following day if the order was huge. The bosses were great that if they knew that the order was going to be a big one would be down to help you get organized and out on the floor.

Over time working during festival season

A typical day working for TNG Canada is Fun and Friendly.

I worked for TNG for 13 years. Recently resigned.. I was lead to believe for a year I was getting a promotion. Never happened... Only a quarter raise in 13 years.. tons of mileage and gas with no reimbursement. Not paid properly... I don't recommend them to anyone. They really suck as a company and don't care at all about their employees.

Flexible hours. No weekends. Fairly pay. Good communication with the Manager. 
Great experience for beginners. Been doing to merchandise magazines and very light stuff like cookies, cosmetic and some electronics. Refer to planograms for the arrangement on the shelves. Need your own vehicle to go to the location. No delivery needed. 

I love being a merchandiser for this company! Planograms are easy to access and follow, work life balance is great, management is supportive and helpful.
Go in do your job and go home :) Only downside is the store employees depending on which location you're servicing.
