I've got nothing but positive things to say about TNI. This was my first full time job and the potential is just there.

With TNI, you have the opportunity to go door-to-door for various non-for-profit charities, there is no script at all, you just be yourself to people at the door and sign up people on a monthly donation for a charity you are representing. There is MANY MANY opportunities for rapid advancement, you could be a leader in just two weeks if you are driven to succeed. The wage fluctuates as well so if you are doing very well your wage will go up one week, but if you aren't doing well, your wage will definitely go down another week, which is a downer but I didn't mind it. It only strives you to do your best. 

The co workers, are very high energy, it is a very very energetic environment and you feel like a family there. Co-workers would back me up if I were having a bad day in field and that's what made me change as a person. I had very very different views in life before, until this job, I changed as a person and my views about life.

I loved this job for many reasons, I have learned and interacted with people better than before thus enhancing my customer service and sales experience, you had the opportunity to go travelling to other cities and small towns (thats where the juice is at lol). Our team would have team nights once every week to get an opportunity to socialize with one another when finished working in our assigned territory.

I unfortunately left the company for personal reasons and if I had every opportunity to turn back and work for this wonderful company, I would take that opportunity 100%.

The only cons of working here I must admit is there is a very high turnover rate (which is understandable, this isn't a job for everybody), so everyone comes and goes, there is a really weird probation period, instead of the standard three month probation period that most companies offer, there is a two week probationary period in which you would have to attain five donors or more within a two week period or you are gone, you have to pay for your own gas when travelling to your territory, which kind of sucks because I feel that the company should be paying the gas expenses but that didn't deter me from leaving this company.

Overall if you are in the marketing business, want to make a real change for the world and have rapid advancement, then this is the job for you!

Rules here are very elusive, like a locked-up secret you never get told about until it’s too late. 

First of all, you get paid 2$ above minimum wage for only the first 2 weeks, and then after that, you can kiss your salary goodbye cause it will most likely decrease to a very sad minimum wage if you are not able to get at least one donor a day, which is quite difficult especially if you are just starting. 

But one of the most unsettling policies was the sudden ultimatums given to employees based on their weekly performance. They've mastered the art of dropping bombshells because if you don't get a good amount of donations in a week they will tell you on the LAST day of the week that if you don't achieve X amount of donations by the end of THAT SAME DAY you will be fired. It's either that or they’ll greet you with a text the morning of letting you know your hours have been cut in half. It has to be a method of silent firing because, apologies, but nobody in their right mind is traveling to the field on their own just to knock on doors and get paid minimum wage PART-TIME and have their regular paycheck cut in half?? They ought to be joking.

And don't expect anybody you meet to be there longer than 2 weeks as they are constantly firing people and doing interviews hoping they miraculously land on someone who can sell 5 donors a day instead of trying to cultivate a work environment able to better train and encourage their current staff.

Additionally, it's not uncommon to encounter passive-aggressive behavior from some of the higher-ups. For instance, leaning against a wall during training sessions is inexplicably discouraged, even though the job itself is a non-stop physical grind that leaves everyone in agony. Maybe if they had chairs during training sessions it would solve the issue hmmm... but why care about your staffs well-being. It's worth exploring other opportunities that offer better pay for similar door-to-door campaigning work, as there are certainly more employee-friendly options out there.

TNI has a great and inclusive learning environment. It teaches our workers a proven and simple system to be productive and consistent with their performance.

TNI has clear expectations for its Management training program and you can advance and earn raises rapidly so long as you're willing to work hard and help train others to do the same. 

Along the way, many workers experience a tremendous amount of personal and financial growth with learning how to set and achieve goals.

TNI caters to people that love to travel as many workers that have a year or more of tenure have been to see many different cities, states and provinces within their country to participate in some of our fundraising campaign, road trips or even visit some of our other offices. 

The hardest part of the job is the grind of being at your best everyday and the rejection that you experience in working to do your acquisition work on a day to day. There's quite a few people that also have a hard time working without supervision.

The best parts of the job are the awesome culture, the advancement and travel opportunities, the $ and the highs you will experience competing to be one of the best reps/ Managers/ Promoting Managers all while working for great causes that positively change the world. 

TNI is for people who are seeking a fun, challenging and rewarding work experience either short or long term.

A typical day at work isn't bad. You go in, talk with coworkers, practice your pitch, then you go through a group pep meeting. After that you go to lunch with the team you're assigned to (usually fast food), then get dropped off in your territory with a map and canvass until you get picked up. Back at the base you wait until other people show up, do another pep meeting and go home feeling pretty good. Even if you didn't meet your personal goals for that day.

Although if you've had a couple of rude prospective clients, or someone mocked you as you were leaving, it's best to keep those thoughts to yourself. As positive as an environment as this was, the only way to keep it was to purge all bad thoughts the second you meet up with your fellow canvassers again. You're not allowed to vent, despite the friendliness of the environment will lead you to believe.

The pep part will take some adjustment if you're introverted, but you'll get over it after a couple days. However if you're not used to talking to strangers and trying to convince them to be interested in what you've got, or walking for long periods of time, I'd recommend moving on. 

Overall even though I didn't work here long, I don't regret it. It was even fun at times. If you want a new life experience to look back on I highly recommend it.

TLDR: This job is for people who are extremely optimistic, used to rejection, can walk for long periods of time, and are used to a working structure similar to door to door sales.

TNI The Network is a great company to work for and I have worked with them for quite sometime now. 

I started as a Field Representative in 2011 and made it all the way to Management. During this time I made plenty of long lasting friendships, learnt a lot about sales and got the opportunity to travel across Canada and work out of different Offices, Cities and Towns all while helping with great non-profit clients. 

Unfortunately I had to leave the city I was managing in a year ago and move to the Okanagan, lucky for me and the help if the company I was able to continue my work with them and start a different position at TNI's head office in Peachland, and I couldn't be happier to be able to continue my work with this company. 

Being a Field Representative for 5 years I will always say the winters were hard (trust me I started in Winterpeg haha) but with that said you will be the utmost surprised with the amount of kind hearted people willing to help you and invite you in to keep you warm during the winter months. Plus at the end of the day you always feel great knowing that your time having to be in the cold was worth it considering everyday you are helping make a difference. 

None the less this job isn't for everyone, but if you have a passion for making a difference around the world for both people and animals, have an entrepreneurial mindset and can handle the craziness mother nature has in store from time to time then this job is for you!

You knock on doors for 7 hours (1/2 hr lunch break to start the day) asking people to donate into a monthly payment plan for at least a year nothing less. You need 1 donor a day or you're fired. High turnover rate and they keep the specifics a secret like deductions from your paycheck for transportation since they use their personal cars to take you to whatever neighbourhood. They encourage guilt-tripping, and insist that donating through a canvasser leads to less of a service deduction from the charity than donating right to their website which I highly doubt. Their policy claims that the elderly are off-limits but I've had fellow employees brag about getting them to donate too. They advertise potential raises up to $24/hr but their raise and bonus system is unnecessarily convoluted and suspiciously pyramid -like.  Work starts at noon and ends at 8pm but they instead tell you to stop knocking on doors at 8 or even later, so if you have a long commute home from their main office where you clock in and out then you may get home at around 11 pm (I had a 1:15hr commute). They also have group road trips where you travel 3 hours or more by car to a far off town and stay at an air bnb as a group for 3-5 days. The bosses seem kinda nice though.

I was only made aware that this was a door-to-door sales job during the observation day, since it was not stated in the job ad. It has an incredible high turnover rate and therefore I was hired on the spot. 

The job starts later in the morning but you waste time by participating in pointless team activities and games. These were suppose to hype you up for the day. Then you waste even more time waiting for the team lead to come pick up the team to drive you to your sales area. Sometimes these locations are more than an hour away, so a lot of time is spent on travel. You then spend hours knocking on doors trying to get donations from people. It was a horrible experience since nobody likes door-to-door solicitors. 

The job ends at 9pm, but that only meant you stopped knocking on doors. If you traveled far from the main office, you had to then travel all the way back. This meant you were back at about 10pm-11pm. 

You have to get five donors in ten days or you were let go, hence the incredibly high turnover rate. It's hard to get donations from people as this wasn't just a one time donation, but a monthly one for at least a year. Also nobody likes door-to-door sales people. 

DO NOT WORK HERE. It was a complete waste of time and you learn nothing.

Have worked with TNI since February of 2014. TNI taught me everything I know in regards to business, business management and pretty much led me into my adult life. Now over a couple of years TNI has brought me all over Canada and now the U.S.A. I've been to many states and have had management experience in many alongside the opportunity to work on behalf of some of the best non - profits North America has to offer.

Initially the appeal of helping children while making money sounded great to me, that's why I was drawn to TNI. I was also quite a shy 18 year old. Definitely considered myself introverted, so the fact that TNI gave me the opportunity to step out of my shell every day and speak to people at my job was a plus.

After months of working in the business, I had been to many different cities and provinces worked on several different campaigns and thoroughly enjoyed my time at TNI.

I ended up choosing TNI over pursuing school. I'm now 23 and manage an office. TNI has provided me with an a life and a great opportunity.

Typical day included training for new hires in the first portion of the day and direct fundraising door to door from 3-830 pm. Opportunity to learn a great deal about the charities your working for and personal growth in terms of business leadership. Leading and developing teams by far the best experience TNI has to offer new hires. 

Excellent management, leaders conferences and bi weekly meetings with your manager allowed in depth knowledge about TNI as a company and personal goals for your agency. 

Co workers are all extremely outgoing and friendly, if your not you'll learn to be if you are to succeed in this environment.

Hardest part of the job at first is finding sponsors, once you get comfortable its also one of the most rewarding experiences.

Most enjoyable part of the job team building and closing deals. Excellent work culture, strong work ethics were rewarded. All in all great job for recent graduates.

The management is poor, they don’t treat the newly employed people well and all information about the work you’re supposed to do and how it is to be done is gathered from all the gossips around , not by the management, so you get no instructions, no training and try to fit into the biased environment where people keep on talking about other workers like some high school drama.. Though they try to act cool the environment there was totally negative.Management doesn’t care about you unless you’re the one giving them maximum profits from the group of all  workers.There is zero job security and total lack of training.They provide personalised training to the people they like and if you have less training and have difficulty getting more donations they will threaten to fire you, insult you and treat you badly.
Nothing against them just letting people know what i felt.
