Regardless if you're new to the security or have years of experience, TOERSA Security welcomes you to their team with open arms.

Nothing is complicated when working for them. Scheduling, requesting time off, clocking in and out all works through an app on your phone. Managers will post shifts on the app and it lets you choose when and where you want to work. If you want to work that week, take some shifts. If you don't want to work, don't take any. The simplicity let's you balance your work life and personal life without effort.

They want to see their employees grow as security guards but also as individuals. They provide their staff with all these new opportunities and positions but you never arrive confused as managers and supervisors are always there to help. This is because of their phenomenal communication and how organized they are. 

Unlike a lot of other security companies, you'll see the managers check in on their staff at events and even work in the field with them. This makes every event go significantly smoother and when incidents happen, they will always be there to help and assist their guards if needed.

TOERSA Security has been the only reason on why I'm still in the security industry. Working these huge events and festivals is fun but working with all of their friendly staff is what makes work so much better. When you know where you're working and who you'll be with, you almost get excited to go to work.

Regardless of your experience in security, I highly recommend working for TOERSA. You will not regret it.

Within all of the security companies I've been with, Toersa has to take the cake on being the best one yet. Management is absolutely top notch. They're very professional, organized and friendly. Every employee is treated with great respect, they make sure to work around your schedule for friends and family and they're there to help you grow as an individual and as a security guard. Pay wise, they're great. Every site has a different wage but it's never not enough to think "I don't get paid enough for the kind of work I'm doing."

The company itself is top notch. They care about having a good reputation which is shown in their work and employees. Having contracts with events/festivals like Bluesfest and City Folk is absolutely amazing. They're fun to work, really good way to connect with your coworkers. All employees seem to always be reliable, hardworking and likeable which actually makes you excited to go to work.

The only issue with Toersa is when festival season is done, you'll struggle getting full-time hours. So if that's what you're looking to do, you'll have to find another company to work with during that slow period of time. There are some other pretty big contracts during those slow times but they're not consistent hours.

The managers are great people and make this a great place to work. I actually look forward to going to work. Everyone works together which is the best part about the company. People look out for each other here which makes a solid team and makes coming to work all that much better. It has also been a great learning experience getting to be more social and meeting all kinds of great people. 
On top of it there are lots of hours to offer especially during the summer when we have our festivals so even more hours are available which is perfect especially when you need extra money. I would definitely recommend working here.
My social skills have become a lot better and weaknesses have also began improving. When dealing with clientele you learn how to be more patient, more accepting, more lenient and stronger mentally. My self confidence has also started picking up. Management always thanks you and is always respectful of the work you do which has helped quite a lot. It helps you pick up the job faster as well as learning new things about the job faster.

I truly enjoyed every moment when I worked with TOERSA. There is no other company that can match TOERSA's work environment. All staff including management are all friendly, approachable and easy to work with.

It always amazes me how quickly shifts go by when working events, fairs and festivals. Working around plenty of people, interacting with people, working with a strong team and being around live music makes your shift go by a million times quicker than most other positions. 

One of the best things about working with TOERSA is their scheduling. The scheduling app allows you to clock in and out without having to text dispatch and it also allows you to pick and choose your own schedule. When there are shifts available, managers will post the shifts on the app showing the location, time and duties. If you want to work, you can take the shift through the app. There are times where some of the managers might reach out to you to ask if you can work somewhere but it's all up to you.

If you're looking to work for a security company or hire one, TOERSA is by far your best option.

Toersa. The name rings home to me. Toersa offered me the opportunity to enter the securities field. Toersa facilitated my questions, concerns, and growing pains in the industry. The close knit family atmosphere gives you the feeling that you're part of not only a team, but a group of like minded individuals striving for the best work environment possible, and providing fantastic customer service. One of the best feelings I have ever experienced and do experience in my life, is having a person who was against you moments ago, shake your hand and tell you that you're the reason they are still alive, and them thank you for being the voice of reason. I would suggest Toersa for anyone who strives for a safer community for all of us, and who is willing to work with individuals and take extra steps to treat them with dignity and respect. Gone are the days of the bouncer being a force. Toersa understands that there are layers to a situation, and that most situations can be handled if you put thought and care into it, and realize we are all humans.

TOERSA is the best Security Company I have ever worked for. Management is involved, supportive, and genuinely sees the value in their employees. 

I have worked for several Security Companies, and never once did I feel like there was an opportunity for growth or promotion. With TOERSA, I have experienced more professional growth in a year than I would have imagined possible. 

The management team in incredible. Each one cares and acknowledges their guards as human beings and really do take the time to get to know everyone. The scheduler alone can tell you any employees name, background, and even the name of their first pet. HR is amazing to deal with and really promotes the open-door policy. Admin is phenomenal and ensures that pay is always correct the first time. In the instance that there is an issue, they remedy it immediately. 


Toersa is a leader in the Ottawa market. I experienced a good team oriented culture. The work was never routine and repetitive, every shift had new situations and challenges to deal with.

Where they are lacking is training and employee development. For my position, we learned on the job but were given no direct feedback by the team leader. There was little transparency when it came to performance evaluation. It appears that leaders and supervisors made wholly subjective evaluations and did not bother to communicate these to their team members.

If you are new to security, TOERSA is a great company to start off with. Advancement opportunities are highly attainable and branch out in different directions. It is also great for experienced special event guards looking for a seasonal/casual job. Negotiable rates are available after 1 year.

Please note if your looking for a job this is ok not the right fit for all no respect undermining and is very click-based with the management. You are a number nothing more or if you brown-nose you can get more work but you are expendable. they were a great team when I started I quickly became a supervisor and thought they had my back ... I was wrong but I don't blame them. you have to get work off of an app and it's first come first served. loyalty means nothing to them. the contracts are being lost cause they lost sight and lost the good guards.

Great company at first...Until management start to guilt trip you into taking shifts, unqualified for their jobs, not supportive in the field, would rather replace you than provide constructive criticism. Definitely hired for quantity over quality. The "family" environment they claim to have is one of their biggest downfalls, only those who fit in to the "family" get the good shifts. They will make you feel valued and supported for the first 2-3 months of your employment and then it's downhill from there.
