Working at Tootsi Impex Inc. was one of the most toxic workplace I have ever experienced in my career. Although the company has a strong history as a family-run business, the environment inside the warehouse was far from professional or welcoming.

There was clear favoritism, with certain employees mostly those from one specific background receiving special treatment, longer breaks, and more lenient rules. Others were often ignored, spoken to disrespectfully, or disciplined unfairly, even when they followed the same rules. Concerns raised to supervisors or managers were rarely taken seriously.
The atmosphere was tense and discouraging for those who didn’t fit in with the majority group. Break times were not equal and it often felt like there were double standards depending on who you were.

If you're considering applying here, I strongly recommend asking about the team culture, how complaints are handled, and what support systems are in place for all staff. 
These people from the same cultural background must find a way and push you out of the company. There is no job security here. 
If you value fairness, safety, and a respectful work environment, this might not be the right place for you.

The best part of working in this company is the supportive and positive environment. I feel encouraged to grow, learn new skills, and take on challenges without fear of making mistakes. The teamwork and respect among colleagues make every day more motivating and meaningful.

A typical day at the company involves managing daily tasks, coordinating with team members, and prioritizing responsibilities to meet deadlines. I usually start by reviewing my tasks and emails, then focus on completing assigned work while responding to any urgent requests.

I have been with Tootsi Impex Inc. for over 7 years, and it has been an incredible journey. Starting as a warehouse clerk and growing into my current role as eCommerce Coordinator has been a highly rewarding experience. The company truly values internal growth and has provided me with a platform to develop my technical and professional abilities from the ground up.

What I appreciate most is the supportive environment that encourages taking on new challenges. I am proud of the progress I’ve made here and look forward to what’s next.

During busy periods but we are able to manage the workload effectively through strong team cooperation.

Supportive environment for all.

My first impression of the company was extremely disappointing. The HR staff is very rude and does not treat you with respect. They offered me a salary, I signed my contract, and then they said they had made a mistake and couldn’t pay that amount, so they changed it.

Later, I realized that the people in charge of departments are not professional and lack proper management and leadership skills. There is clear favoritism toward certain employees, and there is no flexibility in schedules or work arrangements. Many employees work at least 1-2 days of the week from home, but when you need it, it becomes a big issue, even for medical reasons.

My recommendation: don’t close yourself off to other opportunities. The company is not what it seems.

Used to be a good place to work. 
Toxic quality control department from the top. Manipulative and vindictive leadership. Gradually, all the success and what worked is being dismantled and undone by bad leadership. HR is impotent to do anything, and management is unaware of what's going on, or what's going on is being sugar-coated, or they're being deceived. Losing talent to keep certain members who are there just for the pay and do the minimum causes immeasurable harm. A catastrophe waiting to happen, considering the business. With what I experienced, I have to agree with other former employees, avoid this place.

"Tootsi is hands-down the best company I’ve worked for. I started as a warehouse picker and immediately felt welcomed by the friendly environment. What I appreciate most is that they invest in their employees—I was able to get in-house training to operate forklifts, which has been a great boost for my career. Highly recommend this workplace for anyone looking for a supportive team!"

Friendly, cooperative and supportive work environment.

I’ve really enjoyed my time working here as a Warehouse Clerk. The management and supervisors are very supportive and always willing to help whenever needed. My manager leads by example and makes sure everyone feels valued and part of the team. The supervisors communicate clearly and make sure the workflow runs smoothly, which helps keep things organized and efficient.

My coworkers are also great to work with — everyone works together and helps each other out to get the job done right. The atmosphere is positive, and there’s a real sense of teamwork and respect among everyone.

Overall, it’s a great place to work if you’re looking for a stable job with good people and supportive leadership.

I've been working in this company for almost 2 years now and it's been a fantastic feeling. The leadership team is incredibly supportive, always encouraging professional growth and open communication. I really appreciate the collaborative and respectful culture here and it feels rewarding to be part of an organization that’s dedicated to not only delighting their customers happy but also making their employees happy. Clock in, put on safety boot and vest, scan product from bin and arrange them on pallet and proceed for labeling.

Working conditions were very good. Though it was my first time to do general labor job in my life. I was not used to stand for long hours due to my background of work. But i managed to adjust in time. 

The culture at work was so friendly, the management could understand my background. The management used to encourage me about standing for a long time. The most enjoyable part of the job was for picking orders for customer and merchandising goods.
