Day at work: start at 7am sign on to a job and get to work with some direction for superior. Self motivation and time management are key to getting through the day.Punch out is at 4:30 pm and Fridays 3:15pm. Get off early on long weekends depending on overall productivity of the crew and maybe even a bbq or pizza. 
Learning is a constant as there is no standardized work institutions due to the nature of the business. Shop supervisor has a welth of experience which makes the learning curve much easier. You need a strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydrolic and pneumatic systems as well as the ability to adapt to last minute changes.
Management is not as good as it can be, well uper management anyway. Shop floor management is not bad even tho there a severe lack of communication and high level of miscommunication. Upper management as in branch manager has a short temper and has mood swings. He can go form being a nice guy to completely ignoring you to loosing his cool on you for the smallest thing. Best advice avoid all constant with him unless absolutely necessary. 
Work culture is a bit unique. People get along for the most part. Shop crew is helpful and kind aside from a couple people. There is definitely favoritism with who you know and who you're related to but skills and ability are still recognized and rewarded.
Hardest part of the job is dealing with the ego of some people. 

Massive rebuilding as the majority of people left this company. They are very confused and things change rapidly, no training but expected to know how to do everything thier way. Management offer no support only criticism, safety is talked about like it's important however reality is there is no safety and you're expected to do the job regardless if you're safe. The HR person is a micro manager and will be on you everyday.
Some of the older people who've been there a while are good but those are few and far in between.
The work culture is typical in a shop environment, mechanics and welders with lead hands and a Forman. I'd you fit in people will talk to you, if you don't fit in, it makes for a long day.
The head office for this company is in Quebec and they try to run the place like they are in Quebec.

What is the best part of working at the company?
A solid variety of work and opportunities to learn new things! 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Sometimes dealing with customers unrealistic expectations. 
Also lack of parts at times due to the world still being a mess. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The shop floor has a good core of skilled and learning techs. The atmosphere is very solid and focused on getting things completed ASAP. 
Which can be good at times. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
You can expect to be on a long term project and also pulled for shorter ones. 
You must be flexible as things change on a dime! 
Straight hours 5 days a week.

While every workplace has its pros and cons, I can genuinely say that the Service Department is the best environment I’ve ever worked in. The Service Manager is very fair and treats employees with compassion. The overall atmosphere is fun and collaborative, and I will really miss my coworkers when I leave. If you’re looking for an honest job in the trades that will have you home every night, this is where you want to be. 

My typical day at Tremcar Industries was very busy, a lot of multitasking and deadlines that had to be met per day.  I've learned to be efficient and effective in every task presented to me.  management was excellent, we had daily meeting to discuss how we can service the company effectively.  co-workers were great, some not so much but overall amazing people to work with.  The hardest part of the job was not being unable to accommodate our clients with the products exactly when needed.  The most enjoyable part of the job is seeing or clients satisfied with our services.

Do you miss highschool drama if so this is the place for you! Except with grown men. Everyone here is so miserable and the shop moral is the worst a place can get. You will thrown you under the bus constantly. they also pay terrible, you might barely scratch 3 grand a month if you’re lucky. Benefits are terrible and they’ll look for any excuse not to give you the raise they promise you in the interview after negotiating you as low as possible. No boot or tool allowance. the only thing you get at Tremcar Saskatoon is free pizza twice a year and terrible mental health. Do yourself a favour and do not work here!!!

Working at tremcar is a grate experience for me.Because i learned a lot,and they allow us to operate most of their machines.I operate  a head press,flanger,seamer machine,shear and roller thats why it's advantage for me to look for a job, because of my experience. And after a couple of  months that they  close down the shop in Toronto and move to Quebec they call me back to train thier operator,and the company give me a good salary,plus air transportation, food and hotel accommodation.

Lead hands are only lead hands by default as 90 percent of the shop quit and moved on. If arrogance makes you a leader than these guys are the best. Management doesn't care about the employee only about the money. Very bad benefits no perks what so ever... tool / boot allowance .. enjoy a good pizza lunch for your hard work. This place will find something they don't like about you then find any reason to fire you. AVOID AT ALL COST DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!! 

Very challenging because Tremcar is international. We deal with all parts of Canada and the US. Our sales team and colleagues are also scattered across North America  with plants and service facilities in different parts of the countries making communications and standards a challenge. Very stimulating producing and selling a product we see on the road for the next 25 years, it  is something to be proud of. 

Very fun and energetic place to work. Tasks change so your not stuck doing the same thing every day. A great place to learn the ins and outs of tanker trailer repair work. Lots of barbecues and there never is a dull moment at coffee times. Would have to say best job I ever had. Sure wish I didn’t let it go looking back now
