Great place to work, friendly staff and co workers. Paid holidays is a bonus I never had previously and very accommodating when it comes to time off. Overtime availability is a huge plus . Lots of friendly people almost family like, 

Lots of support and opportunities to learn new things. Wide array of tasks , and if you enjoy troubleshooting this is a great place to be. 

Week on and week off schedule allows for a good balance of work and home life , but if you fly in and out as I do the time away from family is really tough. 21 days working and 7 home becomes tough if your a family man like me. 

As a summary,  this is a great place to work. Iron out a few details with lodging/ travel and this is a job to retire at. Definitely recommend this company. 

Considering this company is still in start up phases (less than 5 years running) things are starting to really come together. I've seen a lot of improvement in management, safety, and efficiency since starting. 

However your experience will vary depending on department, for example the maintenance teams and trades seem to have it a lot better than operations teams and supervision is hit or miss depending on the shift. 

Sometimes maintenance has to deal with very challenging troubleshooting situations due to lack of senior employees, technical support, and troubleshooting tools (computers, software, prints, etc..)

All in all I've had a great experience working here and would recommend joining the team just for the knowledge and career development you'll gain.

Honestly never felt worse than when I worked at tacora. The lack of professionalism and care for career development makes the company bland and outdated. Education and experience doesn’t matter if you are buddies with the higher ups and even so the higher ups are clueless to what they’re suppose to be accomplishing. In my two years there upper management changed several times because of horrible judgement calls in hiring the wrong people. They hire managers who only look out for their own. 

Lots of work but not allowed to touch anything till is fails completely. Mangement has no idea or cares how to operate the project. People making calls on how to run and repair the plant causing more damage. Not aloud to speak up or your moved or "restructured".
Equipment failures daily because of lack of service. Safety is on the backburner. Production is key and bonus program only carrot to dangle to try make employee work harder. Tacora Executive out working on the floor who doesn't under how the plant runs and causes more issues then help.



Buddy system is alive and well...only buddies advance. Most employees not happy with management and cant  wait to get hired by other mines.  High turnover and that proves the corruption with senior management at the mine dry.  CEO should take a long deep look into who tries to run the mine and make some serious changes to improve its operations.   

A typical day at work is you go in and you start to clean the places they asked u to do  I learned alot. Everyone was nice and helpful. Unfortunately I don't work here anymore .but at the time it was good and the workers were nice.  And the hardest part of the job is the long hours of working but other then that I enjoyed myself. And I loved how you cleaned, and how the people werre nice. Thank you. I sadly had to leave the job as I was struggling.

Very positive/very versatile/Tacora has a lot of employees from different cultures and backgrounds/we are one big well rounded family.

Empty promises right from the top down. Badly managed company that does not promote from within instead top level management is hired on the buddy system. Who you know gets you ahead here. Hiring alot of inexperienced workers to take advantage of them. Safety culture is non existent with a blind eye being turned to many infractions. Stay away if you can!

Underpaid, overworked, desperate for staff. Only care about management and engineers. The bonus system is flawed, dependant on 60 year old equipment and unrealistic goals. 

Tries to look good on the surface, but SO many internal issues and favourites.. it’s all about who you know. If you work hard, you don’t matter. It’s all about who you know

Started off very positive but has been getting  stale , have to fight to get reasonable things to help make your job more proficient, or help with the stress you put on your body to do the jobs required, that being said  the company  looks like they want to change maybe when it gets in a more stable place it will drastically improve
