a typical day would be arriving at 6am, begin making breakfast cooking bacon, waffles and eggs and serving at 8 am and come back down to begin lunch.. then we would serve lunch and go home at around 2pm 

I learned a lot about time management and using herbs in replacement of salt because of strict diets of the residence. 

Hardest part of the job was when it was slow on a holiday

While volunteering at Taunton Mills, I was mainly in the General Store. My tasks included helping residents get products, calculating their totals, and bagging their items. As well, I had nice conversations with them such as learning about their family. Overall, I think it's a great environment to be in and there is a variety of things you can do to volunteer, other than being at the general store.

The pay is not good compared to all the tasks you’re doing. Over worked , under staffed not their fault but pay could be improved. Not allowed to wear scrubs could also be improved because we’re wearing golf shirt T-shirt’s and bodily fluids are getting on us because they’re not waterproof. Vs scrubs are waterproof and are more help with extra pockets etc. The workers and their attitude could be improved. 

I took care of the residents with daily living activities, I would groom, feed, bath the residents.  Also do a little house keeping.  I enjoyed it very much I love working with people, but I think when it comes to people who need help with daily living, it makes me feel good about myself to be able to help that person to feel good about themselves.

AMAZING and beautiful place to get involved in. So many places to help out and be involved with improving patient care and quality of life in any way. Also providing Hydrotherapy and exercise programs.

It's a fun place to volunteer at with very easy going supervisors. You get to manage fun activities whilst bonding with the people in the home. Comfortable building with a great sense of community.

A peacfull work environment, where I was able to master my training from school with the help of helpful team members that made every chalenges of the job easy to overcome.

They only care about filling people for work hours . Not interested in workers wellbeing. Pay is low. The management here only favours who they like. 

Taunton Mills was a fun place to work. I learnt alot there from management and residents alike. im really not sure what else to say other then it was a great place to be.

over the past 5 years I have enjoyed working here, management isn't the greatest but I enjoy feding the residents and laughing with them
