Worked many hours, 60+ per week.  was 4 hours round trip of unpaid travel per day.  On this job I was able to experience many aspects of the trade and then some.  We built quonset's, shops, set and moved temporary office trailers, built furniture in our wood shop, tons of commercial hardware installations and repair, and the list could go on  (4 years on this project)
What made it the best was the carpenters crew.  Everyone was named hired and vouched for, and everyone that was hired was worth their weight in gold. 
The company was good.  They did have a strong focus on safety.  Tools were hard to get when needed.  We picked up a lot of odd jobs onsite, but will harshly slammed together with improper tools, and or materials.

I was fired for asking a question. Almost constant unannounced shift changes, right to where we were working the max 24/4 straight nights, which was great for the single guys like me and the union paycheque, but was hard for the family guys to deal with home life. The project manager was a know-nothing little weasel that got the job for marrying the owners daughter... blamed the constant shift change on the company we were contracted to.. Asked a corporate rep from the main company, found out the truth, and weasel boy threw a tantrum and had me fired...
Unfortunately for him, that got me a settlement for wrongful dismissal. I would rather kept the well paid job, but that would have been easily quashed by the absolute crooked supervision...

It's long hours witch is great but your co-workers are not to friendly and treat work place situations poorly. in one case i had reported the SP operator in front of me for smoking weed on the job and the foreman witch was his friend had tried covering for him. so i went over his head and got out safety supervisor my self in witch he had lost his job but since i was still there i had gotten harassed by the rest of the crew so i left my position because nothing was done about the situation

Its not a bad company to work for has some very nice people.Every month they have a birthday party for all those celebrating that month.I worked at setting up the toolcribs for the job sights.Part of my time was spent repairing small equipment.Got to work on some large earth movers and trucks that was new for me.A pretty good bunch of people.The hardest part was having to leave when the work slowed down.The best part of the job was the new challenges that came about every day.

I was a second year apprentice carpenter when i worked for taurus and found a decent bunch of guys to work with. The work wasn't always steady., varied a lot but at times challenging. it was industrial work sector and not much room for advancement at a unionized workplace. but a few really good guys and still maintain relationships with a few of them.

Company was a great organization till owner retired and new president was put into place. No priority on ethical behaviour anymore.

If change in this individual would return for owner, Would work with rest of the organization employees any day of the week, great people.

Wasn’t a very pleasant place to work. All of my co workers were awesome however the management was horrible. Didn’t keep up with promises had a lot of pay role issues. Unethical and in most cases unsafe place to work. Seemed like there was always some sort of power struggle with upper management.

A good place to work.The management and other staff seem to be good. Not had any major issues while working here. Steady work,with descent benefits which is a plus. Would be nice if there was an RRSP contribution plan. However there isn't.

10 hours a day i did janitorial work i have lots of years of experience not much to learn management if you"re related  it all good then it was not a hard job part i like the most was getting a pay check
