Hi Folks,

I am writing this review out of sadness. I started at Taylor Construction hopeful though, of a company that would stick to the family culture that brought it to the point where it is now... lots of expansion and growth. Over the months of my 8 month time at Taylor, it became apparent one small decision at a time that they were moving in a different direction then family culture. While employed, I received several written notes of praise for my work, no reprimands and good reviews from my co-workers... with the ever eluding promise of a review from management to give me any constructive feedback. This morning I found out that they were letting me go due to not enough motivation and initiative, which shocked several previous supervisors that I mentioned that reason to. These things have not been said to me before, even though the promise is they will give you feedback when needed. I don't hate the people that did this, however feel the need to put my story out there. Judge for yourself.

Growing company that prioritizes maintaining culture and a compassionate work environment.  There's always been alot of opportunity for people who want to move into different roles and always promote within.

The work is generally restoration with a large stakeholder team and that can lead to red tape and frustration but its the nature of the industry.   Alot of variety in the type of work being completed on a day-today basis which provides alot of opportunity to learn and elimanates the mundane.

Great events.

My time at Taylor was brief, only a few months. They had steady work, a few days you would be sent to other job sites if your site was slow. They paid fair and was defiantly a low stress atmosphere. They have a very high turnaround rate, thus why benefits start after one year rather than 3
months. The management though is run by young 20 somethings with little experience, the supervisor was an apprentice, as was the foreman. Work was done poorly and very inefficient. Definitely not a company to grow with, they are mostly just kids playing construction worker. 

very good company professional staff and HR ,bosses are very nice and strait to the point easy to talk to . i recommend this place to anyone who like working construction on the other hand some very unprofessional co workers mentioning racial comments  and making fun of my dead mother . the company did a very good job dealing with it  

I learned that no detail, no matter how small, should be overlooked because it can lead to the hours being saved in the long run when the extra step only takes a few minutes.

The work sucks, but there's lots of it. The management is out of touch. Favoritism, nepotism, poor pay, they make you download like 4 apps (including a tracking app) and use your personal phone/truck/tools for their business. I hope you like smashing old stucco off high rises for a career.

You’ll move up the ranks fairly quickly if you’re focused on doing quality work at all levels. It’s detailed and not a turn n’ burn mentality. Lots of variety and they could use some more qualified people. Pay is on time. Lots of work in town and the hours are very reasonable. 

I worked at Taylor for 3 years, management was excellent, crews are good! Lots of great experience gained throughout my time with them, wether you are new to construction or an experienced carpenter, there seems to be a place for everyone, and great work life balance. Really enjoyed my time with them! 

From office to site, it is an organized company that cares about each employee, good benifit package, ability to move up if you are commited, extra social team building multiple times each year

High priority on learning, doing things right.  They'll pay for your apprenticeship during off season. 
Work is steady, mon-fri, same hours, I love the consistency.  They have lots of work. 
Benefits and pay are great.
