Absolute worst company I've ever had the displeasure of working for. Tech M has been in Riverview for since June, 2018 and they still cannot pay people correctly. To this very day, literally, to this very day, people are screwed out of their pay cheques. Some people are paid two hours out of an 80 work week. Others are paid for 40 hours. Some people have been paid $100 for an 80 hour work period. The useless HR calls these situations "unfortunate" and "a technical glitch." Thing is, these technical glitches have been happening since day one. That's more than a year and a half of garbage like this. Other issues of pay include the company changing the pay dates so that they were pushed back by two day. Guess when this was communicated to staff....four days. Four days to contact their bank, insurance, car payment, etc. Four days. And the company sees absolutely nothing wrong with it. Another instance of abuse is when they don't pay their employees correctly, or at all, they will offer to advance the employee the money they're short on their pay cheque but when the next payday comes around, they will take that amount off the employee's cheque because, as they see it, the employee has to pay back the money they were advanced. Umm, hello.....IT'S THEIR MONEY! What do you mean they have to pay it back? There are many more examples I could go into, but suffice it to say, they are literally the worst company I've EVER worked for. Their HR staff could not care less about the workers. The head of Tech M in Riverview doesn't care about the workers. They care only about making their six figures. I could tell you to avoid this place like it's the plague. I could tell you that it's a dumpster fire that keeps getting worse by the day. I could tell you that the labour board has been to visit Tech M so many times that we've honestly stopped counting how many times they've been there. Every week, the labour board is there investigating more complaints. If you want to apply and work there, go for it. It's your choice, but don't say you weren't warned. And don't think just because you're asked to sit in on "town hall" meetings to address the issue of why people run away from that place and fix things will change anything. I've sat in on three in more than a year of employment at that cesspool. Nothing changes. They ask us "why don't people want to work here? Why do people just up and quit? What can we do to fix things?" And the answer every single time is FIX YOUR PAY SYSTEM SO THAT PEOPLE ARE PAID CORRECTLY! We tell them this and each time they reply with "things are getting better. Things will improve. We've been working very hard to fix our payroll issue." REALLY??? They've been in Riverview since June, 2018. Things are no better than they were more than a year and a half later ago. Anyway, do what you want with my post. Apply if you want. You will quickly see that it's a really, really bad company to work for.

Pros: The people (besides HR and managent). The other worker bees are great, for the most part.

Cons: Input nightmare scenario here.

Training at Tech Mahindra, I would assume for the client Rogers, is not bad at all. If you end up training with Arnav, he will teach you a lot. The training is pretty comprehensive, but keep in mind it is a-lot to take in, especially with regards to using the multiple systems.

The training downside is that it only teaches you how to handle certain calls and customers:
New activations
Credit Checks
Transfer of Responsibility
Making a payment

Once you are taking calls, you can get any kind of customer and any kind of situation. From complaints to cancellations to customers looking to shave just a few dollars off their plans.

The downside of being on calls is that there is a script to follow and you have to do everything in your power to follow the script to the letter. Always have to repeat what the customer is saying back to the customer. You always have to pitch something to the customer also, that's the sales aspect. If a customer is wanting to lower their price plan the client does NOT care, they want us to offer a higher price plan for the customer. If a customer wants to cancel their service, we have to bend over backwards and offer every sales strategy possible to keep the customer making the conversations longer and frustrating the customer and yourself also. 

Bottom line, if you are good at sales and customer retention then a job here is perfect for you. If you are looking for a less stressful job and "not having to sound like a robot" following a script, it's better to look elsewhere.

The pay was decent until workforce started docking peoples hours that were there for their shift .. if you weren't signed into your phone on the dot then you didn't show up basically ( marked you absent ) 
Management was a joke if you enjoy putting in work without any recognition this is the place for you.
Supposed to be full sunlife benefits from day 1 .. I got mine about a month before i quit .. apparently they're HR lady was putting in false claims to steal money from sunlife because she had a gambling problem.
the training was boring .. and be prepared to learn a job like it then get trained for another job with the same pay but 1000x the stress load.
( most people quit ) 
The bathrooms in the lunch room smell like urine and dirty tampons.
the free coffee is garbage.
The chairs are super uncomfortable .. 
they hire little kids that are always talking and horse playing

My pay cheques are almost always messed up an old lady worked 2 weeks and got paid 100$ she sat next to me and told me as i was upset about mine.

The entire back office are east indian violate Canadian labour laws don't and don't care about you 

many people have had to take sick leave because the stress of someone always calling in ticked off .. it gets to the point you wake up and dread going into work everyday that to me isn't a job that's a nightmare.

The turn over rate is insane going through 100's of staff because they are constantly not being paid properly.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Company is one of the best to work with, in terms of salary and benefits. Its almost a permanent position, with comparatively lower salaries but WFM. Trainers are good but not all Team Leads are. The QA and machine metrics hunts you down and it may lead to cutting of hours and ending up with lesser pay cheque too.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The Team Lead, Machine Metrics and QA's they create stress into you so that your productivity as well as even your quality goes down. Irregular shifts spoil your health too.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment is fast paced, it could get managed, but the Team Leads are the ones who call the shots, the senior levels automatically align with the toe lines, and at times the client also joins hands with them to hunt you down. So as long as you dont have issues prop up, its good, its smooth, once, an issue gets smoking, then, you will have warnings issued in a jiffy and you will see the door soon.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Its challenging while juggling many screens and the letters and font sizes are very minimal, hence you may see stars while you sleep for long.

I am currently working there as a Support Team Member.
Wages are 30 000 a year for English Only, and 32 000 a year for bilingualism, on a bimonthly basis. They also offer attendance bonuses and have tenure bonuses, as well as yearly raises for those who meet minimum requirements (no More than a certain amount of missed days,good schedule adherence, provides good customer service)

Personally, I have had no issue with pay going into my account and have even been paid early twice. 


 They work with me and my schedule needs to give me the best shift possible for my home life and childcare needs. 

 It is a company that is easy to get noticed, for both the right and the wrong reasons. 
If you are looking to advance quickly, and have a good work ethic and are dependable, then this is a good place to look into making a go at. 

Up until recently staffing was an issue, but it has been corrected as we now have a full house. 
The job is fast paced, but it makes the time go by quickly.

Overall, I think it's definitely something worth pursing for people who are looking to make a career in Customer Service.

I really enjoy working here and recommend it to anyone looking to try something different.

Day at work
Week Starts with early two hour call with all stake holders clearly provides the updates on the task completed/task planned for current week with issues & concerns with corrective actions being discussed with a stipulated time for each business. Daily will be a small snapshot call to track/monitor the progress.

Managing Project with users spread in different time zone like US,Mexico,Spain & India bringing in one call to make everyone in sync with one communication plan.
Very first month of the porject go-live is set with highest quarter target which is one of the highest for the ever three years.

Most enjoyable part of the Job
Day when we met the target quarter end target within the first quarter after go-live where the CIO had appraised a great win for the project.

I worked as a CUSTOMER SUPPORT ASSOCIATE at Tech Mahindra. Their training can somewhat be improved with more disciplinary measures. I left because the workload was TOOOO HIGH and it was CALL AFTER CALL, CALL AFTER CALL! Without any chance for us employees to finish up our previous notes and work. If you are ok with being a verbal punching bag for angry customers who have been put on hold for more than 8 hours from previous agents, then go ahead and send your application to this position because that's what 90% of this role consists of. Tech Mahindra did provide me a decent pay and benefits but seeing the long term job would not have been worth it. I was ripping my hair out dealing with impatient customers and cold-hearted answers from the assistant experts. All in all, if you are VERY VERY VERY desperate for a job and need your bills paid then apply to this position but make sure you FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS during training because missing even one minute can cost you dearly when it's time to work on the job.

When I started at Onsite in Canada on October'2010, there was a lot of learning curve where I have been given opportunity to interact with client and the work process to be followed.

To the best of my knowledge, I have created confidence in Client that I have a capability to handle projects and accept challenges coming in at different phases of project releases.

Clients here in Canada are so wonderful and understanding in situations required where they sometimes give us a valuable suggestions and feedback on the required tasks and analysis.

The hardest part of my job responsibilities are to keep the confidence going on in client upon me and communicate in case of any road blocks well ahead of time so that they can be resolved in the given deadline of the project release.

The most enjoyable part of the job is when the project is delivered in time with no major production bugs, client hosts a project party announcing the success of the project delivery.

There were some minor glitches in the beginning, but that is to be expected when an international company is freshly setting up in a new region for the first time. The company made every effort to get things running as smoothly as possible as quickly as possible.

The staff is supportive and the work environment is positive and enjoyable. Although it is predominantly a contact centre, there are opportunities to specialize in different departments, and some departments don't require answering calls much at all.

The pay periods are semi-monthly as opposed to biweekly....so 24 slightly higher paycheques rather than 26 slightly lower ones. It all works out the same at the end of the year, but it does take a bit of adjustment if you're accustomed to biweekly. Always paid correctly and on-time and benefits are included.

Employee input is sought out and valued. Leads and managers are not just fair and respectful, but friendly and encouraging, too.

Dress code is fairly relaxed and comfortable.  It's cool to be part of something that's growing, to be part of the process, to have chances for advancement, and to help build up a new company!

The company offers good training opportunities that help employees improve their skills and grow professionally. There are chances to learn new tools, gain practical experience, and build confidence in different areas of work. These training programs can be useful for both freshers and experienced professionals, as they support continuous learning and career development.

However, the overall work culture can vary depending on the client, project, or team you are assigned to. Some clients may have a very supportive and organized work environment, with clear communication, reasonable expectations, and good teamwork.
