What is the best part of working at the company?
They  a good  company to work  for  They take care of  their  employees  and  they are  very  serious about their safety all and all  nice people  to work  for 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
If you  work safe and  do  your  job  there is no  stress show  up  on  time and  be ready to go to work with a  good  attitude  and  you  will  have no stress 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The  owner  is the  company and he very  passionate about  his  employees and  the  future safety  good  attitude  and  hard work  is there  culture 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
The  day  goes by  fast very  easy  place to  work for you  will  some  days  that are not  perfect  but  all and all  I never  have a  problem

Technica puts a great amount of time into its employees, however they can’t see a valuable employee or a useless one right in front of their face. They have a great deal of leaning when it comes to knowing what an employee brings to the table. They give personnel that are qualified for meaningful work and tasks lineups that a monkey could accomplish while useless people get tasks that they are not qualified or even capable of getting completed. Also upper management don’t know the big picture before making decisions that will affect the outcome of contracts and future operations. Overall, unless it’s your last option, you can probably do better elsewhere.

Managment cant plan or tell the truth to safe their lives they lie and cut corners to safe their own butts. They dont order supplies needed but lie and say they did. Huge disconnect between what they say technica is about and what its really about. If you drink the kool aid and believe their lies its not a bad place to work. The workers are mostly a good group. Its the management and department heads that take the company down to one of the most miss managment poorly run companies in mining today.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Job insecurity, low pay, overworked and undervalued.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Big theatrics to make you think they value their employees. If you're lucky enough to work with a few of the good ones then the culture is uplifting and positive.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
10 hour shift on salary. They want bang for their bucks.

Since coming to Technica, have always been shown respect for my background. The crews I work with are engaged and want to do the right thing and always do high quality work. Was disappointed in some of the other reviews I saw as those guys obviously didn't fit within the culture or values and felt they needed to bash the company to make themselves feel good. They are probably just as miserable at any place they work. I highly recommend working at Technica if you want to be recognized for your ability to work safely and productively.

Typical Day at work:

-Safety Line up
-Cage down
-Inspection of work site, equipment and tools.
-Start line up
-Lunch time
-Inspect work site make sure everything is clean and all equipment is still up to par. 
-Finish line up
-Cage up to surface
-Report daily work to site supervisor to relay information to cross shift

Been with Technica for less than a year. If you look hard at any company you will find faults, They have theirs but overall best company I ever worked for. Things are changing, benefits have gotten better ( you have them when you get hired) pension in 3 months, 5/5/4 shift. Company has treated me royally. Lots of O/T if you want it.

Technica started out as a good place to work.  They have a good culture and are trying to change the way mining is done.  Being a mechanic there is pretty decent other than the " yes man" supervisors and managers... which is frustrating when you needs answers or parts.  I'd love to stay working for them, but the
 f+!#ers laid me off!

My time working on the construction for the new Technica office building was educational with regards to task planning and execution. Specifically within the planning and need to keep the foundations clear for the carpenters and concrete contractors to perform their tasks efficiently.

This is company that has a family orientated atmosphere and it employs 500+ employees. The CEO is one of the most passionate man I know. The company is built on Core Values. They are leading the industry in safety. The talk the talk and walk the walk.
