Worked with a great team, with a great team leader. 

Learned how to mange time and efficiently meet deadlines for projects. Vastly improved my problem solving skills when unexpected events would occur during the design/manufacturing/installation phase. My excel and report writing skills would not be at the level they are now without this job. 

Management is good for the most part, but some require an improvement in interpersonal skills. 

Hardest part for my for me was the lack of field time and inability to move up in the company, felt like I would of stayed in the same position unless I switched departments.

Most enjoyable part of the job was the people I worked with. Very helpful, hardworking and knowledgeable while still keeping spirits in a fun/positive mood.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Investing more on employees in the aspect of training and exposure. They are people centered.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Employees are pushed to think outside the box to bring out their best in their day to day activities. Might look stressful but its a good stress.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment and culture encourages inclusion and diversity at work places. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Open door policy with superiors and free engagement with colleagues. This makes it easy to share ones mind with anyone also encourages ideas to be discussed with superiors and subordinates.

Recent shop supervisor plays the favorite game, if you are not sucking up, you are treated poorly and constantly pushed to breaking points. Shop has high turn rate due to poor managment skills.  Shop employees feel drained mentally and physically due to this.  Sales are YES men and set unrealistic time lines.  Any good supervisors hired are quickly ran out if they are not willing to hold managements hand. Do not recommend FMC edmonton as a work place.

I very much enjoyed my time at Technip! It is a company that encourages working as a team to complete tasks and share knowledge. Great work/life balance with the exception of those who go offshore during offshore season,for a short period of time. Benefits packages are great. Technip takes their team building to the next level having events often to get everyone from all departments interacting and working together. Training is also a number one priority at Technip, in which they will help provide training to those who are eagar to learn.

US Management controls the  Canadian branch but they have no knowledge and  experience with Canadian Government requirements for oil and gas. US Management expect a lot of unpaid overtime from Management people. Young management without experience which made things harder. Often people get burned out and leave.

The work culture was relaxed and there was no stress. Works hours were flexible with a free friday every other week. There was an on site gym that could be used at any time. The medical centre provided good support to any employee who needed it. Training courses were encouraged and brown paper bag training was common. All in all a great place to work.

Working in an oil & gas industry and offshore environment. Good communication skills and working with different nationalities is a pleasure. Hard part of the job is when working offshore. The most enjoyable part of my job is to meet, communicate and work with customers with different nationalities and cultures.

I loved working for Technip USA. The company was incredibly supportive, inclusive, and employees were able to voice their concerns without reprisal. The management sought out feedback and addressed issues.

Communication break downs between management and staff. Having to deal with things that isn't in the scope of the job ie looking for lost or missplaced tools before heading out to the job not having the assets  ie plugs needle valves ect the customers ask for when on site and not allowed to take it to have on hand.
